"Nice view, is it not?" the crewman said to Issobelle, joining her at the side of the ship.
For a moment, she remained silent, still gazing at the sunrise. The orange and yellow rays of sunshine mixing with the baby blue sky creating hints of pink in the stunning view.
"Yes, I would agree, it is quite astounding," she said turning to the crewman. He had on a leather tunic and leather pants, along with the rest of the crew members.
"I do not mean to disturb you, M'lady, but we will be arriving soon," he said to her.
Despite his politeness, she gritted her teeth at his use of "M'lady". The crewman noticed this and spoke with more caution.
"I would advise you to collect you things for your departure," he said slowly, and gave her a small smile.
The crewman turned on his foot and walked towards the stern of the boat. Issobelle walked below deck to her where her quarters lay. She opened the door to her room, the only room she knew as her home. Yes, her room was not the roomiest or the most tidy, but it was the only room she felt was... Familiar to her. After many failed attempts at settlement somewhere, Issobelle considered this ship, and the members of the crew, her home and family.
Now, she was going to try again at making a home at this new kingdom, probably resulting in the return of the ship and her travels continuing. She opened the chest near her and grabbed a set of iron armor, a few steaks and a diamond sword. Unlike most woman she met, Issobelle was a skilled fighter, and could defend herself well against threats.
She closed the chest and walked on deck where she saw the first glimpses of what will "most definitely be the ideal place" for her, as the captain put it. In the distance, she could see a port of decent size with several large boats docked. As she stared at the port, her boat continued on towards the new kingdom. An hour's time passed by and the port had more detail with an array of docks, side - by - side, with all but one occupied by a boat. Issobelle's boat sailed toward the vacant dock.
The boat docked and Issobelle walked onto the dock facing what would be her new home, hopefully. Her boat prepared to depart as she looked around at the port. Stables, tavern, trading post, all the things needed at a port. She looked back at the boat she'd known for so long, and sighed. She would most likely return soon, and she would continue her traveling around the world searching for a home.
"Oi, Miss!" The captain called to her from the boat, "I expect you may need escort if you decide to leave here, do not hesitate if this is true. Just send word to us." And with that, the boat Issobelle knew every crack and crevice so well, was gone.
