Prompt: None/Ashley Seaver/attacked by a dream
She woke up with a scream that could be heard from miles away.
"Ashley Beauchamp", she whispered to herself.
That's what she remembered about the nightmare that had her waking up screaming. It was her dad, Charles, better known as the Redmond Ripper. A killer. A murderer. She was the making of an inhuman person. The scenes that played in her head were so terrifying.
It was a childhood memory that did everything but alter. Where she saw her father holding a woman— a woman that looked like the mother-figure she always pictured in her head— where he held her by the chest with one hand and had a knife near her neck with the other.
"Honey, go back to your room," he told a younger Ashley.
The young girl had tears in her eyes. What was he doing? "What are you doing, Daddy?"
"I said to go to your room," he repeated with a stern voice.
"What are you doing to her?" She refused to listen. She was confused and angry, even at a young age she knew what was happening, but she couldn't bring herself to accept the fact. "Let her go, daddy! Let her—"
Her father held the knife towards her, and she cringed, her eyes fully red. "GO TO YOUR ROOM. NOW."
"Let her go!"
"Ashley Beauchamp!" he shouted.
"She's only a girl. Let her go, daddy—"
"She's a dog," he whispered. "She's a bitch. She's worthless."
That's when she woke up. There were tears in her eyes. She sighed, remembering how often this dream made a visit in the middle of the night. It still haunted her. The worst part was that that's exactly what happened.
