A secret to share with you

When Tommy opened the door to his bedroom, he knew straight away that someone had been in there. Although nothing was missing and everything was were he had left it early on in the day, it just more of a feeling that he had. He walked over to the television and video in his room and noticed the tape that was sticking out of the video player. Written on tape was "play me". Tommy gently pushed in the video recorder, switched on the television and pressed play. After he had pressed play he then sat on the edge of his bed and started to watch the tape. As the tape started to play Jason appeared on the screen.

"What the hell," said Tommy in a shocked tone.

"Tommy what sort of language is that to come out of a rangers mouth," said Jason with a sad smile. It was if he had knew what Jason had just said.

"You're most probably wondering why I am doing this. Why I am not telling you face to face? Well I thought it would be easier for you to handle," said Jason as he leaned back a bit in his chair.

I could handle it, if you told me in person," said Tommy to the face on the screen.

"Bro, you wouldn't be able to handle what I am going to tell you. What I say to you goes no further than you, none of the other rangers must know about this, it is for there own safety. Zordan already knows and so does Alpha. I told them shortly after I became a power ranger. They had to know for future medical reference." Said Jason as he paused.

"What is so secret Jase," wondered Tommy out loud.

I trust you Tommy that is why I am telling you this. If I had told you this in person I though you would turn away from me, ignore me. Deny what I had just told you. " said Jason as he let out a sigh, bowed his head slightly and paused. When he looked back up at the sky his eyes were red rimmed.

"I'm not human, Never have been," said Jason as he sat up straighter it was as though an unseen weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

Tommy sat on the edge of his bed, shocked at what he had just heard. Jason had to be lying, joking with him.

"Tommy I'm sorry that I kept it from you for so long. I am telling because I am leaving Angel Grove and I am never coming back. It is timed I moved on, certain things about me can no longer be hidden or kept a secret. I wanted to say goodbye in person, but I knew I wouldn't be able to find the courage to do it. See you soon bro," and with that the screen went blank signalling that the tape had finished playing what Jason had recorded for Tommy. It was then that Tommy noticed the smooth stone that was on top of the television he got up form his bed and picked up the smooth little stone. As he held the stone in his hands it glowed for a few seconds. When it had stopped glowing Tommy placed the stone in the top of his pocket and walked out of his room, forgetting about the videotape that was still in the video recorder.
