Just like you
"I hope this wasn't you," Jez said, holding up a toy rat as she walked into the lounge. Morgead looked up from where he was sitting on the couch with their 7 year old daughter Ever on his lap.
"Nope it wasn't me," Morgead said, grinning. Ever looked up from her book and when she saw the rat she burst into giggles.
"It was me!" she said giggling loudly. Jez shook her head as Morgead began laughing.
"She's just like you," she muttered, sitting down next to her soulmate and daughter. Ever climbed off her father and onto her mother's lap, curling up.
"I'm sorry mom," she muttered, falling asleep. Jez smiles and kissed her daughter's forehead. In her parents eyes Ever could do nothing wrong, well she always got forgiven anyway if she did.
