He looks up from his newspaper, hearing something. Footsteps, maybe. Then a strange buzzing. He gets up to find Lily. He finds her in Harry's room. He sees Harry's mouth moving, but hears only the peculiar buzzing. The buzzing stops, and a man, if you can call him that, walks into the room. He has the palest white skin, two nostrils, but no nose, and red slits for eyes.
"Lily, take Harry and go! It's him! Go! Run! I'll hold him off -" he says
Voldemort lifted his wand, and he died. Just like that. Gone.
I felt a beam hit my chest, and then died. My first thought was
What about Lily and Harry?
Then I noticed I was still there. Not living, but still there. I saw Voldemort lift his wand again to kill Harry and Lily. Lily sacrificed herself to save Harry. Several seconds later she appeared by my side.
"Thank you," I said "Thanks for trying"
Voldemort shot another killing curse at Harry. Beside me, Lily whimpered, but Harry did not appear next to her, instead of dying, the curse rebounded against his head, leaving only a lightning shaped scar upon his head.
I was with Harry, trying to get him quiet when a strange buzzing filled my ears. I opened my mouth, started talking, but heard nothing. James ran in yelling "Lily, take Harry and go! It's him! Go! Run! I'll hold him off!" But that didn't happen. James was dead within seconds. Voldemort advanced on me and Harry. "Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!" I plead,
"Stand aside you silly girl … stand aside now." Voldemort sneers
"Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead! Not Harry! Please … have mercy … have mercy… " Then he kills me. I found myself watching Harry and Voldemort next to James. Voldemort killed Harry. Or tried to, at least. The curse bounced off Harry, leaving only a lightning shaped scar, and hit Voldemort. The reflection of the curse hit Voldemort, but did not kill him. Instead, he was the faintest of ghosts. He turned and drifted off. Harry was still alive, crying. Crying for his mum, crying for his dad. Crying with a scar like lightning.
