AN: The perfect ship name for these two is Scarred Widow. Also because Mrs Zabini doesn't have a known first name I've decided to give her the name Ava.
He knew what Ava was really like, he didn't need to hear it from his friends. She had ended the life of more than one husband and driven more than one lover to drink.
She made them crawl on their knees to gain her affection, then threw them away when she grew bored with them. He was like every man before him and every man who would come after him.
Alastor didn't bother trying to fool himself that he was special to her in any way. He was just the one she called upon and batted her eyelashes at when one of husbands ended up dead. More than once he had hidden or destroyed evidence that pointed the finger of blame at her.
