Chapter 1
Innocence: Is It Possible? Impossible… :[
In the mid-summer day of Konoha.. in a room full of memories.. darkness seemed to possess in someone's mind, when suddenly a shrieking sound came in silence. Even the smallest drop of water in the faucet seemed to stop; every motion was turned into quietness….
Naruto, the boy who had the ability to stop his surroundings and listen to each and everyone's heartbeat, sat down on the floor thinking very hard while holding a book. "His coming" he said in a gentle voice yet utterly strange. When suddenly a knock on the door was heard.
"Naruto!! Naruto!! Come and see this! " a little soft voice shouted in from the door.
Then every silence seems to be heard, even the darkness came to light..
"What is it this time?" Naruto was asking Hinata for some info for what is going on.
"I was just wondering..uhhm..I saw Sakura with…______with…" Hinata stopped for a moment. This made Naruto very curious…hmmm
"With whom Hinata-chan?" Naruto said in a manner of being serious with the situation. So Hinata decided to tell the news to Naruto even though she knows that Kakashi–sensei forbid her not to because he might get shocked about what just happened in a normal mid-summer day.
"Sasuke is…here,.." Hinata said in a low soft voice. "He said that he wanted to see you." This made Naruto a little bit confusing in mind.
"Where is he then?" Naruto asked.
"In the entrance of our village. The Anbu are inspecting him very carefully to see if he is not a decoy or something." Hinata answered.
Without any hesitation Naruto rushed to the entrance gate of their village. Every person he passed through while he was running stared at him. Naruto also heard some gossips, including his name..!!
As he reached the entrance, he saw Sasuke standing by Sakura while the Anbu surrounded them.
"Naruto!" Sakura shouted with a large smile on her face.
(when I say large, I also mean huge!) "Sasuke returned! LOOK!"
"Yes. I know. Hinata told me so." Naruto said with hesitation.
"Naruto,.. how tall you are now. And how you've…changed. " Sasuke said in a low voice facing Naruto eye to eye contact. Naruto can't even say a word even a little friendly "Hi" to his dear old friend long ago who became a part of his whole life.
"Why did you….." Naruto's question was cut-off because Kakashi-sensei told them:
"I don't think we should be getting too near him for a while. Sakura! Please get away from him. It will take us some time to think about his return for now. And besides, we have to tell Hokage Tsunade about this. So go along Naruto and Sakura, tell the Hokage that I sent you a message to come and see for herself if we can be able to let him in."
"Yes Kakashi-sensei." Naruto and Sakura said politely. They rushed to the council immediately.
Naruto, thinking deeply with words of confusion, asks himself.
"I knew it. I dreamt of him last night…and I know it was a sign…but what made him come back?… it is not because I don't want him here yet… it just seems so impossible to… believe that he… himself gave up? I thought he wanted revenge… but why did he….RETURNED?? And I felt a great sense of nervousness when he spoke to me a while ago… Why Sasuke, why?"
These questions filled Naruto's mind. He doesn't even know the answers to his questions. How would he be able to confront him? What makes him so nervous?
"Naruto!! Where here… are you coming??" Sakura asked Naruto.
"Huh? What? Oh, yeah I'm coming." Naruto answered very sincerely.
"We will bring him back right?" Sakura asked
"Yes.. We will." Naruto said with a big smile. "Ofcourse we will."
