AUTHOR'S NOTES: okay, Harm is a little OOC in this fic because I wanted him to be a little more oblivious than he is. We all know what an offer of coffee actually means, but what if someone took it literally?
Since men are on a different wave-length than women (and vice-versa), there come many times moments of miscommunication between two members of different genders. So, ladies, to make your interest known, be blunt!
SUMMARY: obliv·i·ous, adjective, lacking mindful attention, lacking active conscious knowledge or awareness

Pulling into the parking space, Harm stopped the engine. The date had gone well, if anyone asked him, and after a month of dating he was getting a very good feeling about the chances of this relationship succeeding.
Looking at her, her hair shining in the streetlights, he leaned over the console and gave her a warm kiss "I had a great time tonight."
"Me too." she replied smiling, then hesitated for a second, before reaching a decision. After a month it was finally time to go there. "Wanna come up for a coffee?"
Offering her an apologetic smile he answered "I'm sorry." grimacing slightly he continued "I don't drink coffee this late at night, I wouldn't be able to get to sleep."
Hurt showed briefly in her eyes, before she realized he really hadn't gotten the message. "What about a nightcap?"
"I'm sorry, I don't drink and drive."
' That's the whole point...' she thought frustrated 'you wouldn't be driving...'
"What about..." she stopped for a second and Harm frowned curiously when he realized she wasn't continuing.
"What?"
Finally seeing the light that she had to be a little more blunt with the oblivious man, she grabbed him by his lapels and kissed him hard. When they parted, panting heavily, she breathed "Do you want to come up for sex?"
Harm's face cleared as his eyes clouded over in confusion.
"I thought you wanted coffee?"
She didn't say anything, just rolled her eyes and lead the way to the door.
