I don't know about any of you, but that had to be one of the cruelest endings to that TV show... and now we have to wait an entire week before the second half... now that's just freakin' cruel.
Disclaimer: I don't own...
Summary: A tag, short and we all get to see Dean have a big mental breakdown.
Dean let out few more wails as he hugged his baby brother's limp body to his chest. Bobby was returning soon but Dean couldn't seem to pull himself together, even if he'd wanted to.
This pain, this familiar pain was almost enough to push Dean to rip his own heart out just to escape it. The memories were too damn much and too damn close to the surface for him to bear like the soldier his father had trained him because the one thing he was raised to protect didn't have a fucking pulse or a breath to spare.
The two brother's had been reunited for just a few seconds… and that's all it took for that guy… some stranger to rip his brother away from him.
Dean's eyes actually hurt when the pictures played again before him. The smile on his little brothers face at the sight of his big brothers appearance, almost if he was going to say, "What the hell took you so long?"
Dean had smiled also, Bobby walking beside him, shotgun in tow. Sam had seemed to be favoring his right arm, but Dean had pushed past that and continued walking forward to greet his MIALB, Missing In Action Little Brother.
It had taken mere seconds for Dean's eyes to widen when he saw that guy rush into his brother, and his brother to jerk backwards, taking a few gasping breaths as he fell to his knees.
Dean couldn't handle remembering the far way look his brother was sporting when Dean held him in his arms and told him, "it isn't even that bad". But it was, and his brother's life oozed out of him and Sam wasn't aloud enough breath to tell his brother to be strong without him.
"Dean," Bobby spoke, an apology covering his lips as he looked down on the fallen soldier and his brother.
Dean just pushed his face further into his brothers jacket covered shoulder, tears cascading down his face as his throat tightened.
"Dean," Bobby began again.
"WHAT!" Dean screamed miserably.
"We should go," Bobby explained softly.
"Go…" Dean mumbled softly, his mind couldn't even comprehend the meaning 'go'. Hell, it couldn't even wrap around the fact that his little brother was…
Dead.
"NOOOOOOO!"
Finished
