Chapter 1: My Name is Sakura Shiryomi
"Hello, my name is Gabriella Sakura Shiryomi. Don't even think of calling me Gabriella or Gabby! Anyway I'm sixteen years old (even though my parents are only like thirty). I can't really talk about family because last Feburary my father died. He was very young(33 years old) with two other children besides me. When I was only three weeks old mom and dad seperated. But don't feel sorry for me. I've never really felt like I'm missing out as far as family goes, because I have such close friends they seem like family.
But that doesn't mean I didn't ever miss having a dad. The only time I ever saw him without his 'wife' was when I was five. It was Christmas and mom was working late at her night job. He gave me my presents and then took me back home like I was just another relative he hated. That night I cried until my best friend, Aki Higurashi, called. She could tell I had been crying, so she came over. Strangely, that was the best Christmas I ever had. As you can probably tell from that memory, my friends are what completes my family. Because, I only have my grandparents and my uncle, Ryuu.
Well anyway, we've been here about two weeks. I have no friends because its still summer and a few days ago I found some of my dad's stuff... All it was is a photo album, and a few letters to mom when they were dating. This made me realize there was a whole other side to my dad that I didn't know about."
