Wining the Fight
It was a warm summer night as the two lay on the roof of the T shaped tower. Many nights they had spent out here awaiting the sun to rise and fall; however, tonight was different, tonight they were just up there to be together. Some many things had changed since there first time alone on that roof, from just beingbest friends, then to lovers, and now after many years of waiting the two had been married for 3 weeks. Seeing as how it was the first day the two were back after their honeymoon, the other titans left them alone. Nothing was wrong with this scene asthe newlyweds lay in each other's arms on the roof staring up at the stars that began to peek out of the dark night sky. Rolling over on his side Nightwing, no longer Robin, looked over at his wife with a smile worthy of hers beaming down upon her. "What are you looking at?" she asked smile back upon him.
"Just at how beautiful you look in the night light." He replied, " I just can't take my eyes off of you."
"I'm flattered," she commented as she rolled over to her side.
"You should be, you married the most handsome man in Jump City," he replied while running his hands through is long ebony locks.
"Now, now no need to become egotistic," She teased.
"Who said anything about egotistic? I speak the truth." He joked playfully running his hand down her sideuntil he rachedher hip, as she lay on the floor. Pulling himself closer to her body he planted a passionate kiss on her lips before pulling away and smile upon her once again. Smiling back she laid back down. "You always find a way to keep me quite, don't you?"
"Just on of the many qualities that made you fall in love with me in the first place."
"How would you know what drew me towards your gorgeous self?" she questioned everything he said until she was able to come into for the kill and take what was rightfully hers. Realizing what she was up to Nightwing took matters into his own hands and got to the spot before she even had a chance. "Just because it was one of the thousands of qualities that gave me the courage to tell you the truth." He smiled devilishly to himself at his triumph.
Speechless Starfire leaned over to her now husband and lightly brushed her lips against his while standing up and walking off the roof to the door, making sure to sway her hips to tempt his senses. Taking the offer as a challenge he quickly got up and followed her over,but just before she made it to the door he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and swung her over his shoulder. "Nightwing put me down," she whined as he carried her off to their room.
"Not until I reach our destination." Shaking her head behind his back she calmed down and aloud him to persist, for she knew who really won the fight.
