Child of the Wilderness
I was listening to a song on my Phantom of the Opera CD. I don't know what the song is called. Here are a few lines; maybe some one could help me. "Child of the wilderness, born into emptiness, learn to be lonely, learn to find your way in darkness, who will be there for you, comfort and care for you." If you know the name of the song then please tell me in your review. Now on with the story…
"Oh, Hina, they're beautiful." Ryu said as he looked down at his mate and two new children.
"Yes they are…but…oh Ryu…you know what will happen if they find Hiei. You must take him with you. If you don't they will surly kill him." Hina said, tears streaming from her face.
"I know, love. Please stop crying, you know how much I hate seeing you cry." Ryu said.
"all right. You best leave as soon as you can. Its nearly morning and if they come and find you and Hiei…" Hina could not finish.
Suddenly there was a loud bang on the door.
"HINA! Open up! We know he's in there!" a voice outside boomed. The door burst open and a group of koomories ran in. They grabbed Ryu and dragged him from the house.
"Let me go! Let me go you filthy wenches!" he screamed. They tossed him into the snow and from inside he heard Hina scream.
"No please! Elder please Let me Keep my baby. Please at least until he is older!" Hina pleaded.
"NO he is an abomination and must be destroyed." The elder said. The koomories exited the building. The elder held the four-hour infant like he was some rat who would bite her at any moment. Two of the other koomories dragged Hina out. They toke mother and son to the cliff. "Now, Hina, you must get rid of this abomination. Throw him off the cliff." The elder said.
"No. I could never do something like that." Hina said.
"Fine! RUI! Get over here and get rid of this thing." The elder said. The girl by the name of Rui toke Hiei from the elder.
"Rui, please spare my son" Hina pleaded.
"I'm sorry Hina." Rui said as she approached the cliff. "Live and grow strong so that on day you can return and kill these fools." Rui whispered to Hiei. She tucked a tear gem strung on a chain into the bindings that help Hiei. Then she threw him off the cliff.
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Hina screamed. She broke free from the grasp of the koomories who held her and ran to the edge of the cliff. "NO HIEI! MY BABY!" Hina cried. Then she got up and ran back to her Hut. Ryu was still there. "Oh Ryu…they...they…they.." but the words were to painful to get out. Ryu wrapped his arms around Hina.
"Shhh…go inside. Yukina is still here and right now she needs you." Ryu said as he led her inside.
"Ryu, please stay." Hina begged.
"But…" Ryu said. "The others"
"I don't care any more, Ryu. I just don't care." Hina said.
A couple of months later Hina committed suicide and Ryu was never seen again. Yukina was transferred to Rui's care.
But that day…the little boy…the forbidden child lived. Ok…tell me if you want more chapters or if you like it as a one-shot. I could write the rest of Hiei's childhood, but if you like it as it is then just tell me. Or if you want it to be a multi-chapter story then tell me.
