Lena is glad that she and Bee ended up in the same city for college. Even if they don't get to see each other enough, what with classes and soccer and boys. It's more than she gets to see Carmen and Tibby, though, so she lets herself be happy with it.

She learns to cherish the time they do get together even more than she used to, even when it's spent doing things like studying or sleeping. In fact, it's the quiet moments with Bee that Lena enjoys the most. They are the only times she really feels at home.
