I'm tired of all these fanfictions about how everyone loves Percy, so I decided to do one about Annabeth. Please comment and enjoy!
Jason
You can't get her out of your mind.
Her beautiful curls, her fierce grey eyes, the way she laughs.
You wish she was yours.
Instead you're stuck with the daughter of Aphrodite and a fake romance.
Sure, she's pretty.
But she's not Annabeth.
You spend nights dreaming about you confessing your love to her and she wraps her arms around you and kisses you deeply.
Then you wake up, alone.
Piper knows it.
She knows you don't love her.
You know she doesn't love you.
Your both in love with other people.
Annabeth.
Percy.
When she says I love you, you know it's fake.
You say it back to her.
You both know it doesn't mean anything.
At night, you dream of sleeping next to Annabeth.
You wake up next to Piper instead.
You become depressed, feeling the weight of your failure taking its toll on you.
You spend your nights looking at a picture and you long for you to be with her in that picture.
That picture of Percy and Annabeth.
They have four kids, their love for eachother greater than ever.
You?
You have kids too. Just two. Twins.
You couldn't bear sleeping with her for another night.
You moved into a separate room. That way you two weren't lying to yourselves about a love that wasn't even there.
They die together. The perfect couple.
You sigh at their funeral. Piper quietly sobs next to you, thinking about what could have been.
That night you come home to find Piper ready with her suitcase all packed.
The kids are in college, she says. I'm done trying to prove something that isn't real. I'm going back home.
Your expression hardens. Fine. She can leave. Now you can be alone. Just what you wanted.
That night you drink yourself to sleep, passing out on the couch.
The next day you don't wake up.
