Kari sat in the doctor's office looking down at the floor, trying with every fiber of strength she had in her body to stop herself from crying after what the doctor said.
" I'm so sorry ma'am but according to your medical history you had a very weak immune system as a child this along with other health problems makes it very unlikely that you would ever get pregnant."
Kari then felt the tears begin to drop, she felt her husband Kōshirō ( Izzy), Izumi hold her close as she began to cry into his shoulder.
" I'm so sorry to tell you this, I wish there was something I could recommend but with your medical history I just don't think it would be safe to ever try and have a child, Mrs. Izumi." The doctor said trying his best to be comforting.
" is there some way we can get around this like in vitro fertilization or something like that?" Izzy asked.
" Unfortunately that is not an option Mr. Izumi, you see unfortunately your wife suffers from Primary ovarian insufficiency, the cause of this insufficiency is most likely due to the fact that your wife had the Autoimmune disease as a child and that is what has caused this condition, but if you truly are desperate you could try different kinds of therapy but unfortunately in your case this most likely wouldn't prove to be anything more than just false hope at this point."
Kari then stopped holding back and cried her eyes out, she was only 27 and she was being told she can never have any children of her own.
The doctor's side then spoke up.
" if you guys really are desperate there is one other option."
Kari lifted her head up with a feeling of hope going through her.
" some couples with dissimilar situation often decide to get a surrogate."
"But you already told us Kari doesn't have enough eggs what would the point in that be?" Izzy said.
" well that's the other part you see unfortunately the surrogate would Supply her eggs and such and Mr. Izumi, you would Supply your DNA most people don't do this because, in the end, it's only really the child of the husband and the surrogate, not the wife or partner.
" so we are able to have a child but it wouldn't have any genetics of mine or anything?" Kari asked knowing the answer already.
" no, I'm afraid not."
Izzy got up and helped Kari up.
Carrie was quiet for a few minutes but before they left the doctor's office she spoke up.
" dr. How do we go about doing this?"
"What, no, Kari you don't want to do this it'll be some other woman's child not yours, do you really want to be raising someone other woman's baby?"
" but it would still almost be our baby it would still be your natural baby, so isn't that better than no baby at all?" Kari replied.
" but it wouldn't be yours do you really want to live the rest of your life looking at this child and knowing for a fact it's not yours?"
" your parents love to you and you weren't their genetic child when you want to give another child that chance?"
Izzy was silent for a while then he nodded at his wife. If this is what she wanted then he would do whatever it took to make Kari happy.
" so dr. Where do we begin?"

Kari, her sister-in-law Sora, you and mimi all sat down on Kari and Izzy's couch.
" I want to thank you guys so much for helping me with this," Kari said happily to the girls she had known for a good portion of her life.

After a while, it interviewed at least 17 women and most of them had not met the standards of her friends.
" never thought it would be this hard fun one healthy woman who can carry our baby," Kari said to herself.

Kari nodded and they called out for the women, she was a kind looking a slightly overweight woman with dark brown hair and Hazel eyes.
She bowed to the group then stood back up.
" Konichiwa, my name is Mara Suzuki."
" Please sit," Mimi said.
" so miss Suzuki we want to know in anytime in the past have you ever had a child of your own?" Sora asked.
" yes I did when I was younger and college I got pregnant and had a daughter, unfortunately, my parents maybe give her up for adoption."
" in any time of your life man you ever committed a felony?" Yolei asked.

" , one final question if my husband and I allow you to carry our baby would you be willing to part with it once you have given birth to a said child?"
" yes, I am I'm willing to sign any contract or paperwork your husband wish me to sign I'm completely willing to turn over the child to you."
Kari smiled and held out her hand.
" Ms. Suzuki you seem like a perfect candidate for my husband's child and I hope you would do us the honor of having our child."
Ms. Suzuki Smiles brightly and shook Kari's hand.
" I promise I will not let you or your husband down, Mrs. Izumi."

Kari was chopping vegetables for dinner why Izzy look through Ms. Suzuki's file.
" well everything looks legit and she does seem to be very qualified for it."
" I know isn't it exciting just a thinking in 9 months who have our own child, just don't let me catch you eloping with Ms. Suzuki, Kōshirō," Kari said laughingly.
Izzy's face went bright red.
"Kari, I would never to that!"
Kari laughed again then got something out of the fridge.
" I know you wouldn't my love oh before I forget to go to the bathroom and um well please put your "specimen" in this cup.
Izzy went bright red with embarrassment.
A while later he came back down still looking very embarrassed and had the cup in hand.
" uh, all set where do I put it?"
Tentomon and Gatomon both came in.
Tentomon noticed how stressed his partner looked.
"Izzy, what's wrong?" Tentomon said.
" ya and what's in that cup?" Gatomon

9 months had past and each month Kari had gotten more and more excited about the soon-to-be arrival of her and Izzy's child well technically Izzy's and Miss Suzuki's child but she would raise him or her like her own even so she knew it would be difficult to form Bond first she knew it would be worth it.
Right now Kōshirō was at work at his computer company in Kari was babysitting Tai and sora's newborn daughter Atsuko.
Kari made playing sounds while trying to get Atsuko to eat her mashed peas when she heard her cell phone ring.
" Gatomon, could you watch Atsuko for a moment I'm just going to go see who that is?" Gatomon hopped up on the table while Kari got her cell phone out of her purse.

" Kari, it's me ms. Suzuki, I'm calling you from the hospital, my water broke 3 minutes ago.

Kari had quickly dropped off Atsuko and drove hastily to st. Xavier's Hospital.
Izzy had been waiting for her at the entrance and once they found each other they immediately ran upstairs to the maternity ward.
Unfortunately, ms Suzuki had already given birth, they found there doctor waiting for them outside the room where Ms. Suzuki had given birth.
"Dr. Kuno, what wrong, did something happen?" Izzy asked.
" well, I'm afraid to tell you Mr. And Mrs. Umi that we did have a little bit of a surprise during the birth procedure.
" oh my God," Kari said feeling like she was going to cry.
" what happened to our babies?" Izzy asked.
" oh no your children are completely fine but the funny thing is based on her x-rays we only thought she was having only one child but as it turns out Ms. Suzuki gave birth to triplets, three healthy boys, and I assure you they are all safe in the procedure was a complete success.
Kari sighed in relief.
" well can we see them?"
The doctor led the two to the Nursery.
He pointed out the three boys to izzy and Kari.
Kari smiled immediately as she and Izzy entered the nursery and saw there three boys.
" They are so beautiful," Kari thought to herself as she picked one of the baby boys up.
This one had a tuft of bright red hair. Kari smiled as the baby looked back at her and began to smile, the baby held out its tiny hand Kari placed her finger in her new son's grip.
She stopped a nurse that was walking by and asked her.
" has Ms. Suzuki named any of the children yet?"
" no after delivering the triplets, she passed out, are you the parents?"
" yes we are, we would like to name our sons if you don't mind," Izzy said.
The nurse got a clipboard.
" what names would you like for the children?"
Kari looked down at the last with red hair.
" Michael, I would like to name him Michael."
" why?" Izzy asked.
" I want to name him Micheal after Mimi's former fiance because I don't want to forget how he sacrificed himself for all of us."
Izzy nodded as the nurse write down the name Michael Izumi.
Kari looked at the baby in the middle and smiled down at him as he saw her.
" Kōshirō, why don't you name him."
Izzy liked down at his new son and smiled.
"Hatsaharu, iv always loved that name."
The nurse wrote down Hatsaharu Izumi.
Kari looked down at the last child, unlike his brothers he was completely asleep. Kaito, Kari said as she looked lovingly at all three of her sons, she then looked at izzy and hugged him, thank you so much Kōshirō, I love you.
Izzy hugged her back.
" I love you too Kari."
Kari and izzy weren't allowed to take their three sons back to their home for 3 weeks, Kari came to the hospital every day to visit her sons.
Then the day came for Kōshirō and Hikari to take there son's home.
When they came to the Nursery they found ms. Suzuki waiting for them.
Kari was a tad surprised.
" Miss Suzuki, what are you doing here?"
Kari asked.
" Oh, I just came by to see Michael and hatsaharu one-last-time."
" And Kaito too right?" Izzy asked.
" no actually I didn't want to do things like this but the past few weeks I've grown really close to the boys and since I gave birth to them I do have a right to keep them by law but you two have been so kind to me during this whole procedure I couldn't take them away from you so I've decided I'll only seek to keep Kaito and let you two keep Micheal and Hatsaharu."
Izzy and Kari student silence for a moment then Kari yelled at ms. Suzuki.
" you can't do that we have a contract and everything those boys are ours!"
" not by law they're not, I gave birth to them so legally they are mine, you should be grateful I'm letting you keep two of them at all.
Kari wished Gatomon was here right now to scratch ms. Suzuki's eyes out!
" This isn't over, we will take this court and get rightful custody of our boys!" Izzy said.
" I don't think you would want to do that Mr. Izumi after all a big court case Like this could create a lot of controversy for your computer company, you might lose a lot of customers."
" Don't you dare try to Blackmail me I don't care what kind of controversy you think this is going to stir up we had a contract they are genetically mine, we paid you handsomely and we will have our sons back!"
Kari put an arm in front of her husband.
" No Kōshirō, she's right, as much as I hate her right now she's right, she would probably get more sympathy too... let's go Kōshirō, I just want to go home with my boys.
Kari went into the nursery and looked down at Kaito one last time before putting Micheal and Hatsaharu in the stroller she had brought.
Izzy saw how sad his wife looked then looked back at ms Suzuki.
" This isn't over, I will not stop until Kaito is back with us and don't think you can just sit back keep all the extra money we gave you, we're taking that back and don't think your life is gonna be smooth sailing, I know a lot of influential people, I will make your life a living hell, you won't be able to get a job, you won't even be able to get a decent apartment when I'm done with you! Izzy then turned his back to her and joined Kari as they left the hospital with there sons.
Kari strapped Micheal then Hatsaharu into there car seats.
Kari tried to cover up her sadness but she knew she couldn't hold it in, tears began to fall from her eyes as she thought of the one-child she would never know, she then heard Michael cooing.
She looked at her little baby boys again and wiped away her tears, she knew she would still be sad for a long time, maybe she would never get over knowing one of her three sons but she knew she couldn't let that heartache stop her from being a good mother to Micheal and haru, she only hoped that ms Suzuki would take good care of Kaito and that maybe she would see him again someday.
