Dusk and Dawn

He is Dawn. His presence brings hope for light and happiness. Dawn is content. I am always content with him. He is the light that banishes the endless night. A new beginning. Subtlety gorgeous. Stunningly radiant. And at peace. He is hope for all. The peace that welcomes the new day. Dawn is so close, yet seems so far away form the terrors of the dark night. He is unreachable to me. We chase each other in our never ending dance over the world. We are opposites, yet we are so similar.

I am Dusk. With me I bring the darkness, terrifying and terrible. I hide the awakening monsters. Fear. Fear me. Run inside when you sense my approach. That is the way it is. That is the way it has been. That is how it will be. Lonely. I am so lonely. I look forward in time to the dark that everyone fears. I am the bringer of darkness, which is evil. As the light fades I reign supreme. I am the Dusk. I am the end of all that is good

What is between us? Some say the light. Happy days full of smile and good times. Others say darkness, the night. Shifty eyes and bad intentions. The moon and her rays shine down on a thick wood of mistrust. Bathing them in an eerily pale glow. That is what stretches throughout the dark realm between our kingdoms. But why? What can't it be sunshine and happiness? A different perspective. That's all it takes for moonshine to be happy sunshine. Perhaps. Perhaps we can fill each other's lives with joy...

The sound of chairs scraping across the floor pulled Russia out of his reverie. The meeting was over for today. He watched with a slight smile as the countries filed out of the room. Russia stood up and prepared to leave. He glanced at Canada from the corner of his eye. Perhaps... he should talk to the quieter nation. Before he could convince himself otherwise he walked over to the nation who talked quietly to his pet polar bear.

He towered over the still seated country. The quiet talking ended as Canada looked up… and up...and up. Russia was suddenly very nervous and shy. he shifted his weight from side to side and buried his face in his scarf. He blushed and mumbled something into his scarf after a few seconds.

"I'm sorry? What did you say Russia? I wasn't able to hear you." Canada said.

Russia tucked his scarf back under his chin before saying, "I was wondering if you wanted to go eat lunch with me."

"Oh," Canada smiled slightly, "sure. That sounds like fun." He rose and gathered his papers.

The two smiled at each other and walked out the door.

I'm... not entirely sure what this is. i just had a REALLY vague idea of what to write. And then i just started typing. Sorry if it's not very good.

I'd love to hear what you thought of it. Reviews would be nice.
