Night Terrors

AN: I own nothing in this story. Please R&R and keep in mind this is leaning towards RobChop friendship not romance.

Robin basked in the quiet evening brought upon the Thousand Sunny. Her newest book about the history of Loguetown was fascinating. Just as she was about to start the newest chapter she saw something out of the corner of her eye. Chopper was peering at her from the door way in his peculiar fashion. Robin noticed that he was trembling a little.

"Doctor-san, what's wrong?"

"I had a nightmare." Robin patted the side of the bed beside her and Chopper took the invitation.

"What was it about?"

"Walpol. He kept on hurting Dr. Hiruluk and laughing while I just stood there and watched. I know I shouldn't be afraid of him but…" Chopper hung his head at that and stared at the blanket he sat on. Robin summoned an extra hand and used it to lift his chin up so he could meet her gaze.

"There's nothing bad about being scared Chopper. Everyone has moments when they're scared of something."

"Even you?" Robin smiled at him and patted his head.

"Yes, even me."

"What are you afraid of Robin?"

"Being alone again."

"Don't worry Robin; I'll always be with you." Chopper then hugged Robin, his fur warming her.

"Really?"

"Really, because Robin you're my best friend. Friends don't let friends be lonely. If you ever need someone to talk to, just come see me."

"What happened to your night terrors?" Robin said, smiling at the ship's doctor.

"My big sis Robin took care of them. Now I should get to bed, it's really late." Hopping off the bed, Chopper was about to exit the room when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"I was actually about to make some tea. Would you like to join me?" Chopper's eyes lit up and he jumped for joy.

"Sure!"
