I got bored on a Monday night. Chaos ensued.

Discoveries

With Severus, it had been a gradual thing, starting from Harry's third year and growing into something real by his sixth.

He remembered it, the night he had first become aware. That night when he had caught him out of bed after hours for God knows what reason.

The pathetic lies, on Harry's part.

The inevitable detention, on Severus' part.

Throughout the whole encounter, through Severus' casual, predictable insults of James Potter, through Harry's flash of anger and indignation, Severus' eye caught something that he had never seen before.

The curve of Harry's jaw. It was practically perfect, smooth, angular. Of course Severus' discovery of the beauty of Harry's jaw lead to many other similar discoveries, such as the soft cupid's bow of Harry's lips and the slender, appealing shape of Harry's ass.

The discoveries continued all the way to Harry's sixth year, after three years of kissing and talking and love making, when Severus made his biggest Harry discovery.

It was after a particularly nasty fight. Harry's maturity had given him a sharp mind and a quick tongue, and could lash out at Severus as well as Severus could tear into him. When they got into it, it was bad.

It was after the spectacular post-nasty fight make up sex, in which they were both lying in bed, naked and breathless.

It clicked obviously in Severus' mind, and made him wonder why he hadn't noticed it before.

Harry had stopped being Potter. Harry was now Harry.

This lead to Severus' certainty that he loved Harry, and showed it by instigating another round of spectacular sex.

Severus wasn't very good at channeling his emotions, with the exception of hatred and annoyance. He was more of a physical being when it came to love and affection.

Harry was exactly the opposite. He told Severus that he loved him, frequently and tenderly.

And although Severus acted like it was the damn most annoying thing, he really liked it deep down.

He knew that Harry knew that too.
