The falling snow drifted into my hand, melting into holes in my heart that I thought I'd hidden

What you and I saw was another day's scenery, familiar hues now fallen into a slumber somewhere.

"Chikane chan… I am here again…"

"He he… guess not even my old bones is stopping me from seeing you again huh… Chikane..."

You held the distantly wavering love in your hands, knowing it was really just an illusion

I suddenly realized that the meaning of envious love would fade into transience

"I forgot how long has passed since you died…?"

"…screw that, this old lady is joining you soon anyway…"

"…so before I join up with you… let's talk about those little kids back at the orphanage… shall we…?"

The tomorrow I dreamed of will never come again, melted away into eternity

"I don't have much time anyway…"

If the days we ardently loved each other will be called a "lie," I'll stain my face with blind tears

However irritating, at the end of our love I softly hid the feelings that scorched your body

"…you want me to chat with you at the rose garden instead…?"

"…you're as stubborn as ever… and sweet too…"

When tears of sorrow stain my face, surely I'll search for that person's shadow

Every time we touched I felt love and leaned into that warmth

Though it hurts, again I cross my fingers and feel my breath through those hands

"Let's us go Chikane… let us talk all we want at the rose garden… like the good old times…"

"…the cold is killing me anyway…"

"...oh before you take me away... I just want to say... merry Christmas."

The snowflakes are slowly drifting down, but where does the wistfully melting love go…?

As lights and shadows converge smoothly, these words, "I don't want to hurt you"...was really a lie.

Himeko Kurusugawa, age 80, was found frozen to death this Christmas morning by her family in the neighbourhood graveyard.

The old lady was said to have left her home the night before her death.

According to the descriptions from Miss Yuri Nakamura, age 20, one of the orphans raised by Madam Kurusugawa and the one who found her kneeling on the snow in the graveyard, said that her matron had "…a blissful look on her frozen face."

All friends and family members related to Mdm. Kurusugawa are expected, if possible, to attend her funeral held tomorrow, at the Himemiya Orphanage.
