"Do you remember Addison?"My mom asked. Embry frowned, racking his brains. Obviously, he didn't.
"Who's Addison ?" Jake asked
" Quil's cousin. Her and her step-sister Taylor are staying with me until her dad and step-mom can come out." Despite my anxiety to know more, I felt myself grin. Addison, better know as Addy and me were really close when her family lived here, now there coming back. When we were 6, her dad had taken her to Scotland without any warning.
"That's awesome! But, why now?" I couldn't understand why, after 10 years, Addy was suddenly coming back. I'd missed her a lot. But it made no sense at all.
"Her dad just got married and his new wife has to move here for her work." I rolled my eyes. Her dad would do any thing for a woman he loves . Jacob suddenly asked the question I hadn't thought to.
"If everything's so fine about whatever it is, why do you look so upset about it?" My mom's eyes lowered.
"Addy's great at hiding pain. Trust me, she isn't fine." There was a silence as this sunk in. Even Jacob and Embry – who can't even remember her- I'd mostly forgotten about her – understood that this was more serious than we'd first thought.

I wondered vaguely what it would be like to have Addy back. I wouldn't be allowed to tell her about the werewolf thing, but I was sure I'd find it hard to keep it from her.
