Another original Thomas story by Samantha613, this time it's "James Helps Percy" Enjoy and comment.
Percy tries again to say new words again, but is failing again, so it's up to James to help him with some more advice.
One day on the Island of Sodor. Percy was trying to say new words, but was having a difficult time pronouncing them.
"This is so frustrating!" said Percy. "I can't say any of these words."
James was nearby and saw Percy upset.
James could easily see that Percy was having trouble, so he came over to him.
"Hello, Percy. Is there a problem?", questioned James.
"Yes." replied Percy. "I'm having trouble saying new words."
"Try to think about the new word, think of the letters and sounds, then try to say it slowly as you can to pronounce it right.", explained James.
"You really think it'll work, James?", asked Percy.
"I know it will.", said James.
"Okay, James. I'll try it.", Percy said.
Percy then went to see Gordon and asked him what new words they know.
Percy listened to the new words that Gordon said, then tried saying them based on their words and sounds.
He still had a difficult time saying the words, and thought he couldn't say any new words.
"I don't think I'll ever be able to say any new words.", Percy thought sadly to himself.
Then he thought about what James said with thinking of the words, the letters, sounds, and how to say them.
"James said to think about the new word then say it right without hesitation.", Percy said, "I'm going to listen to James's advice."
Percy began to think about the new words that Gordon said and listened carefully to them. He started to say them in the order Gordon said. After a few minutes, he managed to say one new word right. He felt proud of himself.
"I did it. I said a new word!", Percy said in happy tone. He couldn't wait to tell his friends, especially James.
He went back to Tidmouth Sheds, where James James there.
"I said a new word!" exclaimed Percy.
James was very pleased.
"Good work, Percy. You're getting good at saying new words. Your vocabulary will be filled with new words thanks to my advice.", James said.
"I'm so glad to know that I'm saying new words that I didn't even know. I couldn't have gotten it without your help, James. Thank you.", said Percy.
James smiled. "You're welcome, Percy. Keep taking my advice."
"I will, James.", Percy said to James.
Percy then went on listening and saying new words with James's helpful advice.
