In the end it didn't matter. It didn't matter that they loved each other with all their heart. It didn't matter that they knew each other like the back of their hand. It didn't matter that they looked incredibly cute and sweet together. It didn't matter that they were the perfect couple. None of it mattered.
"Quinn I love it!." squealed Rachel as Quinn removed her hands from her eyes. She smiled at the picnic blanket and the basket with the food neatly packed inside of it before spinning around and giving her girlfriend a quick kiss and hug.
"I knew you would like it." smirked the blond, grabbing the brunette by the waist.
"You know me to well." giggled Rachel.
"That's just one thing you love about me." smiled Quinn as she started tickling the girl. She never wanted this day to end...
In the end it didn't matter. It didn't matter that they would do anything and everything for each other. It didn't matter that they would take a bullet for each other. It didn't matter that they would protect each other to the very end. None of it mattered.
"I love you." smiled Rachel, shyly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Quinn smiled lovingly at the girl in front of her."Well that's good cuz i love you too."
She pulled the brunette towards her and pecked her on the lips."And im never gunna stop loving you."
Rachel sighed contently against her chest."Me neither."
In the end it didn't matter. It didnt matter they went through hell to be together. It didn't matter that one was kicked out by her parents because they found out she was gay. It didn't matter that they travelled all the way to New York to start fresh. None of it mattered.
Quinn kneeled down on one knee and pulled at a ring."Rachel Berry. We have gone from enemies to friends to bestfriends and then to girlfriends. We have been through hell to get to where we are today. We live in this great apartment with our two lovely cats but i can't help feeling like something is missing... something important. I want to be with you forever and look after you, I want to raise a family and live happily ever after... so Rachel will you do me the honer of becoming my wife? Will you marry me?"
"YES!" squealed Rachel.
The blond laughed and slid the ring onto the brunette's finger.
"Well miss Berry i guess your stuck with me forever and ever."
"I guess I am."
In the end it didn't matter. It didn't matter that they promised each other forever. It didn't matter that they were married. It didn't matter that they had two beautiful children, One called Matthew and the other Sarah. None of it mattered.
"RACHEL!" sobbed Quinn as she rocked the un responding girl against her chest. Blood was oozing out the side of the brunette's head where it slammed into the pavement. Her arm was broken from where the car had hit it.
"Wake up! baby please. I love you! You promised me forever, forever! Don't leave me! Please... I love you." she kissed Rachel on the lips. They were ice cold.
"Don't go. Don't go... please." she muttered over and over again.
In the end it didn't matter. It didn't matter that the forever promise was broken. It didn't matter that the happily ever after promise was broken. It didn't matter that the children would be devestated. In the end none of it mattered... because Rachel Berry was dead.
