A/N: You'll find the first bit of this story cute. That's all I'm saying.

A small Squirtle happily swam in the river near her home, blowing bubbles under water. Sun peered through the tree tops and speckled the green forest floor and the crystal clear water. Small pebbles were on the bottom, the loose ones moving back and forth in the water as the Squirtle darted along the bottom looking for different looking stones. She paused as she noticed a stone that kept from red to green and to other different colours. It had a small hole in it, near the top. Her eyes sparkled excitedly as she picked up the stone, popping up onto the surface on her back. She suddenly squealed as she was lifted into the air by her father. The Blastoise smiled, the corner of his eyes crinkling. Squirtle laughed happily as her father moved the stone still clutched in her little hand. The other hand wrapped around his thumb causing her father to chuckle deeply. He kept lumbering towards a huge tree that was hollowed out and another Blastoise was in the tree smiling at the two. Dried grass and dead leaves were the only things in the hollow aside from several different rocks lined up next to the smallest pile of grass. The female Blastoise nuzzled her mate taking their child away from him. The baby Squirtle gave a happy noise as she nestled into her mothers' arms. The mother looked at her daughter adoringly, the way only a mother could look at her child. The father settled onto his pile of grass, watching his family with tender eyes. The Squirtle waved the stone that was still held in her hands, happily squeaking as it kept changing colour every minute or so. Her parents laughed as their daughter giggled. The mother gently placed her daughter on the small pile of grass when she yawned. The baby gave a sleepy but happy baby smile at her parents, sneezing when a butterfly landed on her nose blowing out a bubble or two from her mouth. She battered at it tiredly while her parents chuckled. She yawned again as her mother started humming a lullaby, taking the stone out of her baby's hand and placing it with the others though it was out in front more. The small Squirtle snuggled into her bed tiredly, clutching a small soft toy made of Ursaring fur. It was a Teddiursa. Her mother had given it to her three months after her daughter had been born. She closed her eyes curling up in a tight ball; the last noise she heard before she fell into a deep sleep was her mothers' lullaby.
