Rating: G

Pairing / Characters: Kyouraku Shunsui, Ise Nanao

Word Count: 232 words

Warnings: Nothing…

Summary: Shunsui believes that everyone can learn from Nanao

A/N: I wrote this while at work (so my time is like a third of what it used to be) so if it's not coherent, please understand…

Kyouraku Shunsui reckons everyone can learn something from his Nanao-chan, after all, her techniques might be abrasive, but there's no doubting the effectiveness of them.

New recruits could pick up a thing or two not from watching her slay hollows, but watching her slay her fellow shinigami with a few well chosen words.

After all, it isn't everyone who wouldn't hesitate to slap him in the midst of a meeting for ogling his underlings.

It isn't just everyone who would wake him from a pleasant, mid afternoon nap with a bucket of water.

It isn't just anyone who would throw something at him for being openly admiring of the apples of her cheeks.

(Shunsui has to constantly remind himself to duck whenever his kawaii Nanao-chan is around)

It isn't just everyone who would allow him to recite poetry to her at three o clock in the morning and then dissect his poem afterward.

Line by line.

Pointing out his "drunken" spelling mistakes.

Aloud.

When sober.

But that's not all, and Shunsui knows it.

Only Nanao wouldn't hesitate to watch his back without him asking her to.

Only Nanao wouldn't hesitate to defend him even if he didn't need it.

Only Nanao is the right lieutenant for him, and no one else will do.

Nah, Shunsui thinks he knows the truth: it isn't quite Nanao 101, but everyone can learn something from her.
