He was gone, just seconds ago she watched him take his last breath. Then that was it, he was gone. She couldn't help but cry. To comfort herself she began to sing her healing inclination.
She looked at Eugene "Heal what has been hurt Change the fates design Save what has been lost" "Bring back what once was mine" She stared at him. "What once was mine" She shed a tear as she thought that her dream was shattered. A man who she began to fall in love with. Had just died in her arms. The past 24 hours had completely torn her life apart. Mother was right she never should've left.
As she stared at him in guilt feeling as if it was her fault for his death she noticed a glowing golden flower where is wound was. The light swirled around her wet face and she looked down at Eugene still on her lap. She noticed he bagan breathing again, his eyes opened. "Eu-Eugene?" she stuttered. "Rapunzel?" Eugene began "Did I ever tell you I had a thing for brunettes?" "EUGENE!" She yelled with such excitement in her voice.
She attacked him with a huge hug. She looked up at him and let out a huge breath that turned to laughter. On impulse she kissed him. He kissed her back. "I love you!" she said entirely from her heart. "I love you too." Eugene replied with love and joy.
Eugene just hugged her. He hugged her so tight he never wanted to let go. Rapunzel never wanted to lose him again. They stayed that way for hours in silence just holding each other. Then Rapunzel broke that silence. "I have something to tell you" she said with excitement. "What?" he replied. "I am the lost princess." Eugene just froze. He wasn't quite sure if she was joking. He wasn't even sure what the appropriate response would be.
Eugene's face kind of looked as if it did when he realized she had magic hair. Rapunzel giggled. "Well then let's get you home princess." he said.
"Princess?" Rapunzel said as everything hit her all over again. "Well I guess I can't call you Blondie anymore so..." Eugene said smiling. Rapunzel couldn't help but laugh at that.
He was a little nervous about walking into the castle being that he was a wanted theif who had just escaped from prison. Maybe he was a little more then nervous. As soon as the guards saw him they went to grab him. When Rapunzel screamed "I am the lost princess." The guards just looked at her in disbelief and just stopped dead in their tracks. The guards could see it. So they escorted them up to a balcony overlooking the entire kingdom. "We'll alert the King and Queen." one guard said. Eugene and Rapunzel just stared out onto the lake where they had just been the night before. Eugene looked at the spot where he'd been captured. Rapunzel looked over to the mosaic of her as a baby in her real parents arms. "That's me." she couldn't help but think.
Then suddenly the door to the balcony opened. The King and Queen aproached. Rapunzel just stood there in shock her mother walked over to her. They looked just like each other the eyes, everything. They hugged, then Rapunzel's father joined them. Eugene teared up a bit. The Queen reached out her hand Eugene went to shake it, but then The Queen pulled him into the hug. They were all together, and she was a princess worth waiting for.
