"Tear"

Author's Note: This is probably my shortest fic ever written - call it a "ficlet" if you will. It focuses on Suzunagi's mother and it's setting? Hmmm... definitely after she was killed, I can tell you that, heh. This was inspired by an LJ buddy's YST writing theme set, and one of them involved "tear." So I present to you my story behind the "tear" theme.
Each tear she shed was for her poor child.
Suzunagi was a gift from God. She was also a gift that was abruptly yanked from her and her beloved husband.
As each day went by, she cried for her precious daughter who was damned to remain in limbo – trapped in the world of the living but in a body that ceased to live.
"My poor, poor child..."
She closed her eyes and placed her hands over her heart.
"You will see the light. They will guide you to righteousness once more. It will be many years before I can hold you in my arms and kiss you."
Opening her eyes, she pulled her hands away from her chest and stretched out her arms. A flash of colorful energy was unleashed from her body, reminiscent of aurora borealis in the northern latitudes. In the vast distance of the Armor World, flashed images of nine armor gears across the horizon.
Only five of these suits of armors would be the ones to help her baby.
Jin.
Chi.
Rei.
Shin.
Gi.
The other four suits were too twisted, too far beyond her reach.
Chu.
Nin.
Tei.
Ko.
She placed two fingers to her lips and blew a kiss into the air before her. Her love would be placed into each corner of the nine suits of armors. She prayed that the love in heart would one day help the destined warriors. She would pray for their souls.
It was said that God had a plan for each and every one of them. She would be patient and seek comfort in Him, knowing that He would somehow comfort her.
Another tear was shed as she clasped her hands together and bowed her head.
For now, for each day that passed, her restless spirit would yearn for the day that the chosen ones would help her daughter reach God's eternal kingdom.
The END
