Longing
"He still loves you, you know," Jasper tells Leah as she stares longingly at the newly wed Sam, who is grinning at Emily.
"I know," Leah mumbles, not bothering to look at Jasper. "But apparently his love for me doesn't amount to anything after his imprinting."
"He wishes he hadn't imprinted," Jasper says. "He wishes it was you who had just gotten married to him."
"Doesn't matter," Leah says, still not looking at Jasper. "He's attached to Emily. There's nothing I could do about it. Even you couldn't do anything about it, not even with your emotion changing super power."
"You still love him," Jasper says. He doesn't need to feel Leah's emotions to know that this is true.
"Yeah," Leah says quietly.
"You wish it was you who had just gotten married to him."
"Yeah," Leah says again.
"You wish you could get over him, though."
"You got it," Leah mumbles. She peeks at Jasper from the corner of her eye. "You know," she says, "That emotions feeling thing you do is really creepy."
"I didn't need to feel your emotions, Leah," Jasper says, standing up. "It was on your face."
(A/N: I'm not totally sure I like this, but anyways, the only thing you guys might be wondering about it why Jasper is at Sam and Emily's wedding. Well, I have two possible reasons for that. One: It's after Breaking Dawn, and since Jake imprinted on Nessie, the Cullens were invited to the wedding, or two: Jasper and Leah are together, which is why he came to the wedding.
