A/N: Hi out there to all my fanfiction friends. I just felt like writing something depressing. I had to stop at when he still thought she was dead because I was thinking of putting in something like now he knew she was alive, it was like the happiest day of his life or something but it just didn't fit. Oh and yea it's kind of like in Michael's point of view… In case you didn't pick up on that…
Disclaimer: The content in this so called fanfiction is aimed purely at nerds (such as myself), who read fanfiction and can't find anything better to do with their time. (Like me.) This had been written solely for the entertainment of nerds (such as myself) because there is nothing good on television. (Ooh yum, a gummi bear.)

You guys reviewed my last Sara fanfiction and gave me hope hahaha
That day.
The day he had asked her to leave the door open.
She had been so frustrated, angry, confused even.
He thought there would be a better way, a different way.
But it had to be done.
It had broken his heart to have had to ask her.

That day.
The day Bellick and Geary had told him how Sara had overdosed.
"Fish belly white, gargling in her own puke," Bellick had jeered.
It was his fault. Entirely his fault.
He hadn't meant it to be like this.
It had broken his heart to hear what she had done to herself, because of him.

That day.
The day they had met at Butterfield Farm.
She had informed him that her father was dead.
Because of him, because of his mistakes, her last connection to her life before him was dead.
He had dragged them both into this.
It had broken his heart to her what he had destroyed.

That day.
The day he stood on the ship, alone.
As he was forced to listen to the police sirens on the dock.
The FBI had followed her.
They were taking her to prison, and Lincoln had said there was nothing he could do about it.
It broke his heart when he had been forced to accept Lincoln's reasoning.
-o-o-o-o-
That day.
The day they stood in the small shed. In the middle of nowhere.
She had given that man what he had deserved. She had done it for him and Lincoln.
And now she was crying in his arms.
She sobbed as he had told her he loved her.
It had broken his heart to hear her say it back.

That day.
The day in Sona when Lincoln had passed her picture through the fence.
She looked so small, so scared, so alone.
What was she pointing to? What was she trying to say?
He was supposed to be protecting her.
It had broken his heart to have let that bitch get to Sara.
-o-o-o-o-
That day.
The horrific day that Lincoln had stood on the opposite side of the fence from him.
"She's dead, Michael." Michael's heart froze.
"I lied to you." Michael's body was close to collapsing.
It was his fault. All his fault. All of his mistakes. They all came down to this. It was all his fault.
It had broken his heart to learn what he had done.
