Pairing the Character – Drabble Competition: Pairing Used – Harry/Pansy
Pansy Parkinson has always felt like an outcast. She was never the pretty one or the smart one. She was never the most outgoing or had the brilliant smile. She never had dazzling eyes or a witty sense of humor. She was used to being overlook and had grown accustomed to being second best.
That was why when Harry Potter showed interest in her, she originally thought it was a cruel practical joke. Then again, it was Harry Potter. He wasn't mean-spirited enough to play that kind of joke.
And Pansy wanted to give into him. She wanted Harry's lips on her own, and his arms to hold her on-so-tenderly.
She no longer felt like she didn't belong. When Harry looked at her, she felt like she was the most beautiful girl, had the most brilliant smile and dazzling eyes, in the world. She felt like she was funny and smart, like Harry was truly interested in what she had to say.
Being in love and knowing she was loved in return was the most wonderful sensation in the world.
