Note: Hi all, I know I haven't updated At First Sight for a while. I'm currently staying in an apartment without internet, so I'm not able to watch episodes and write. I will update as soon as possible. For now, I've written a little post-ep for the season's opener Shock Waves. Please enjoy and let me know if you liked it! xx.

Spoilers: Season 11, Shock Waves.

Summary: Vartann and Catherine think about how much they love each other. Post-ep for Shock Waves, slight slight spoilers.

Rating: K+

Fire in his belly.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you immediately after that fire. I was afraid it would be… I don't know. That we would be too obvious, I don't know. I'm sorry."

Catherine's blue eyes were fixated on Lou's face while they were sitting next to each other on the couch. Her legs were resting on his lap while he was gently massaging her feet. His hands never stopped massaging as he said: "I know you wanted to honey, it's okay."

"No it's not." A loud sigh escaped from Catherine's lips as she sat up straight and scooted over closer to Lou. Her head rested on his shoulder and while his hands were caressing her hair, Catherine continued. "I'm supposed to support you with everything you go through. I feel bed for reacting with my head, not my heart."

A chuckle escaped from Lou's lips as he said: "I think it's a good thing you'll think with your head, honey, considering the job you're working."

Catherine playfully slapped him but obviously felt a little stupid as she said: "It's not funny! I love you, Lou, and I now feel as if I let you down."

Lou realized Catherine wasn't planning on stopping her rant about not helping him, and turned himself so he was facing her. His hands held her cheeks and his eyes looked into her sparkling blue ones as he said: "You have to stop beating yourself up about this, Catherine. I know you feel sorry about it and it's okay. I understand. I'm okay with it. I'm glad you're here know. I'm fine! So please, be fine as well… Don't beat yourself up over this."

His finger slowly moved from her cheek to her lips and caressed them gently for a second before pressing a soft kiss on them. He then smiled at her before letting go of her cheeks and gently pushed her until her head was in his lap and he was able to caress her skin again.

Another sigh escaped from Catherine's lips before she said: "You're too good for me."

Lou never stopped caressing and was silent for a second until he said: "Catherine, you're the most amazing woman I've ever met. You… You're incredible. You make me feel something I've never felt. I love you, Catherine."

Catherine melted inside when she heard Lou say those words. Her detective, who usually wasn't too emotional and was usually very good able to hide his inner thoughts, made her feel incredible as well.

She got up from her comfortable little pillow and made sure she was able to sit down right before she said: "I love you. Every day I ask myself how I've been able to find a man like you. I love you, and every day I'm able to find something that makes me love you even more."

Her lips crashed down on his before he was able to reply to her words. Their hands moved into each other's hair and underneath each other's clothes. Lou knew he probably wouldn't be able to say the words he wanted to say to Catherine until a little later. He knew she wouldn't matter though. She loved him. He knew she did. And he knew she was the only one he would truly love for the rest of his life. Catherine was the only one who was able to set his abdomen on fire; the butterflies in it were fluttering so hard that it hurt. But in a good way. In the best way it could.

Catherine Willows was the only woman Lou Vartann truly loved. And both knew they would keep on loving each other for the rest of their lives.

Note: I know it was just a little something, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway. Thank you for reading! xx
