Walking down a concrete sidewalk

Rain falling softly on my shoulders

My hands stuffed in my pockets

As I shuffle along

Where I was going

I still wasn't sure

I don't even know

the reason I left

Thinking about anything and everything

continued on, head bowed

I can't remember the last time I laughed

or the first time I cried

So I kept on going

not caring about my soaking shirt

or the fact that it was dark out

I guess, I just wanted to get away

Crying softly, my tears mixed with the rain

As I realized I was lost

with no where to go, or to return to

I wiped my face on my sopping sleeve

There's no where to go now

And no one to turn to

So I'll keep on walking

Towards whatever awaits me in the morning
