Into The Hospital (An Alternative Path)
"Hazel Grace, I'm at the gas station. Something's wrong. You gotta help me."
"What? Where are you?"
"The Speedway at Eighty-sixth and Ditch. I did something wrong with the G-tube and I can't figure it out and—"
"I'm calling nine-one-one," I said.
"No, don't, they'll take me away. My parents will find out that I snuck out," Augustus started crying.
"I will not forgive you if you die right here so please, trust me on this one."
The police came and Augustus was sent to the hospital. There, they found out that the part where the G-tube was attached was infected. They treated Augustus with care and he was out in a matter of weeks.
"Thank you for calling us, Hazel Grace," a voice behind me spoke. "If you hadn't called any earlier Augustus may have suffered some consequences regarding his health."
"I should be thanking you for treating Augustus with care. I and Augustus gives you our gratitude."
