Disclaimer I own nothing, Ally Carter does.
My feet were pounding on the pavement. I was exhausted, I haven't slept in two days and my last meal was four days ago. Running away from Gallagher was hard but something that needed to be done. There had been a couple of close calls and I know for a fact that the CIA is looking for me too.
Now it wasn't only the Circle after me, but the whole nine yards. I had this feeling in my heart and I just knew they were alive they had to be after all they were Morgans.
Someone grabbed and dragged me to the nearest alley, I manage to elbowed them and tried to flip them to no avail.
"Gallagher girl"he whispered "its me Zach"and I swear you could hear him smirking.
"What do you want Zach" I snapped.
"You"
"Sorry can't do" I said while walking.
"Well if you can't or won't go back at least let me go with you."he pleaded.
"I need information." I said.
"I know you do but I also know her, and right now, she won't stop until she has you."
Altough I'll admit this scared me, in fact if I wasn't a spy or if I hadn't been drilled no t to show my emotions I would probably be trembling.
"Where is my father kept Zach?"
Then he uttered the two words I've hope he wouldn't.
"In Chicago."
Now this may seem like another city to you, but every agent knows that Chicago is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. It has so many rogue agents, terrorists, mob bosses. Besides the Circle has a huge base right on the outkirts of Chicago.
We took several buses, trains, and planes; went from Athens to Italy to Singapore trying to shake imaginary tails. We changed appereances names, I've been evrything from Nikki the heiress orphan trying to find herself to Kelly the emo girl whose dream was to set fire to herself like that monk. Right now, Zach was Aiden a young red headed surfer with grey eyes. And I was Eileen a nineteen year old girl with an asian appereance. We arrived to a very ghetto part of the city, and Mr. Solomon's first lesson came very handy, Notice Things. There were a couple of kids smoking who-knows-what in the park, two hoods in the corner beating up a kid and a very mysterious black Mercedes parked in front of a building.
"Ready?" he asked.
"I was born ready." I replied.
