Ada walked into Wesker's office, having finished her mission of retrieving the Las Plagas sample. As she made her way over to where the man was sitting, he slowly turned around to face her, his eyes covered with his shades.
"Did you manage to bring it to me?" He asked, referring to the virus. Ada sighed. Never once had Wesker after her missions asked her if she was okay.
"Yes, they're all here." She said, holding out the box with the samples within them. Wesker smiled a very dark and sinister smile that made Ada's blood run cold. "Can I have my money now?" She asked, irritated.
Wesker looked up at her, dully. "Ah, yes. Your payment." He stood up and walked over to a suit case, picking it up. He slowly walked back over and offered it to her. "There inside is your 50 thousand. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some work to do." He said, beginning to walk out of the office.
Ada only glared. "Wait, that's not the only thing we agreed on…" She said, walking over. "I want to leave. I no longer wish to work for you." She said, arms crossed.
Wesker smiled rather smugly, turning to look at her. "I never promised that. You just assumed I said you could go. In fact, I said I'd think about it. I thought about it, and realized, you can't leave." He almost got out of the room, before Ada grabbed his wrist.
"Why not!? I've done what was needed of me. I'm sick of fighting with him-" She stopped herself. Never once had she told Wesker her feelings towards Leon. He turned to look at her once again, and his face made what looked like a snarl.
"Who is this 'him'!?" He growled, grabbing her. Her eyes widened as she looked at his hands, that were on her shoulders, tightly, and realized that she'd probably have bruises later.
"No one-" She started to say, but was cut off with his intense glare. Despite his sun glasses covering his eyes, she could see the orange beneath them, glowing in anger and hatred. She didn't understand what made him like this, and he seemed to realize he wasn't acting himself and slowly let go of her.
"…You may never leave here. You will always work for me." He said simply, walking away. She watched in bewilderment, before running after him.
"Wesker, why can't I leave…?" She asked, without the anger of before. He looked back at her, seemingly deep in thought, before looking away.
"You may never know." He said, and walked off. Ada frowned and went to follow, but something pulled her back. She was scared of the man, that she knew for certain, but she also didn't want to press the issue.
As she began to leave the base to go home, she hadn't realized the cat eyed man watching her, hiding in the shadows.
'You may never feel the same way about me, but that's alright. I can keep you by my side forever.' Wesker thought, closing his eyes and sitting down. Maybe Ada would never know how he felt for her. He didn't really mind however. He could keep her there always. She feared him, and maybe that was for the best.
As Wesker stood up, he decided it was time to do his research on the las plagas virus. No point in worrying about his love life, when in reality, he could never truly love anyone in return.
