Upsides
She'd been baking up a storm all morning, ever since he explained his less-than-human heritage. She'd taken it better than he expected and if this was how she wanted to deal with her new boyfriend's werewolf background, he could handle it. Especially since his kitchen was being filled with her cooking; not something he'd willingly pass up. However, seeing just what her main ingredient was he could only shake his head in amusement.
"You've been watching Harry Potter again, haven't you?" he asked, staring at her in amusement from his leaning position in the doorway.
She wrinkled her nose at him. "All I'm saying is if you're gonna go furry on me, there should be an upside… And chocolate seems like a good one."
"Chloe…" He grinned, moving to sit on the stool perched before the kitchen island. "I'm not Remus Lupin… I don't change with the moon phases against my will, and any injuries I get heal so quick I hardly feel them."
Blinking at him, she reached over and stuffed a heaping spoon of chocolate mousse in his mouth. Narrowing her eyes, she smirked. "Tell me that doesn't make this just a little bit better."
Laughing, he licked his lips clean. "It's a good recipe, but it's missing something."
Hands on her hips, she cocked a brow, daring him to tell her what.
Standing up, he circled the island to stand next to her before reaching down and dipping his finger in the whipped dessert. With a smirk, he smeared it down her cheek and before she could balk at him, he licked her skin clean. Eyes fluttering closed as he kissed and nibbled her chocolate cheek, she reached out with a shaky hand to stabilize herself. Drawing away, he grinned smugly. "Much better."
"Calling my cooking into question, Black? Not smart." Pursing her lips, she lifted her chin. "This calls for a very thorough experiment." With that, she lifted the bowl of mousse from the counter and walked away. "Meet me in the bedroom!"
He grinned.
If there were any upsides, she was it.
