In an explosion of light, the twenty beings reappeared in a large white room that contained four couches, beanbags and a television.
Almost immediately Jackie pulled Rose and Mickey into a three-way hug as she babbled about the shop window dummies coming alive and attacking people.
"Domestic," The Doctor mumbled with a roll of his eyes as he tried to figure out what had happened and why.
Both Donna and Martha's families gathered together as they looked around in fear as they were wondering what was going on. Martha and Donna although they were terrified were looking around the room to find The Doctor not fully trusting the Time Lord but knowing he would be the only one with any idea on home to get back home.
Jack stood alone as he muttered to himself about what was going on recording everything and everyone, he could see trying to find out what was going on.
Sarah-Jane Smith had pulled Luke, Clyde and Maria over to a secluded corner of the room as the four of them discussed what happened, why anybody would do this and if there was any possible way they could get back home.
Everybody except for The Doctor was too distracted to notice when a piece of paper appeared on top of the television in a flash of green light. "Humans," The Doctor mumbled to himself as he walked over to the television picked up the piece of paper and realised it was a letter. The Doctor scanned the letter and was shocked to the core by what it said.
The Doctor whistled as loud as he could making all conversations seize and some people to cover their ears to block out the noise.
"Who are you and what the hell was that for?" Jackie Tyler demanded answers as she approached The Doctor.
The Doctor ignored Jackie's demands and waved the piece of paper into the air as he said, "we're not in any danger in this room."
"How do you know that?" Francine Jones asked as she stood next to Jackie her voice hopeful that her family wouldn't be in any danger.
"I know what brought us here and this letter explains why?" The Doctor told Francine.
"Well what does it say?" Jackie asked impatiently wanting to get back home and back to her life.
"The Doctor and guests, I have gathered you all here to watch The Doctor's life from his ninth regeneration onwards. Although not all of you are involved The Doctor's story will teach you invaluable lessons and reveal things about each of you that you didn't know or have not accepted. Nobody will be leaving this room until the viewing is complete. While you are here rooms will be provided for you. When you get hungry or thirsty all you have to do is think about what you want and it will appear. With Love From the T.A.R.D.I.S," The Doctor read the note aloud to everyone in the room who were shocked at the statements the letter.
"If we're going to be here for a while we might as well introduce ourselves before we begin," Captain Jack Harkness said snapping everybody out of their stunned states as they nodded in agreement.
"My names Jackie Tyler," Jackie introduced herself.
"Rose Tyler and this is my boyfriend Mickey Smith," Rose introduced them before kissing Mickey on the cheek as he put his arm around her shoulders.
"Captain Jack Harkness," Jack introduced himself as he winked at Rose making the blonde-haired girl turn away her cheeks turning red making Jack smile mischievously.
"Wilfred Mott, this my daughter, Sylvia Noble and my granddaughter, Donna Noble," Wilfred introduced his family indicating to his daughter and granddaughter in turn as he introduced them.
"Martha Jones, this is my sister, Trish Jones, my brother, Leo Jones, my mother, Francine Jones and my father, Clive Jones," Martha introduced her family indicating to each person as she introduced them.
"My name is Amy Pond and this is my boyfriend, Rory Williams," Amy introduced them as Rory wrapped her arm around Amy's shoulder and Amy rested her head on Rory's chest.
"Clara Oswald," Clara introduced herself relieved that she was out of her ship and somewhere she could relax for a while.
"Sarah-Jane." Sarah-Jane started speaking.
"Sarah-Jane Smith," The Doctor called out interrupting the woman before he ran over and lifted her off the floor and into a hug as he spun her around whilst everyone looked on bemused whilst Luke, Maria and Clyde were all wondering who the strange man was.
Sarah-Jane laughed as The Doctor put her down. Sarah-Jane Smith looked up to see the face of a stranger but the eyes of her dearest friend. Sarah-Jane smiled up at The Doctor as she said, "I haven't seen you since your seventh regeneration, what number are you now."
"This is my ninth body, I regenerated twice during the time war," The Doctor told his old companion.
"Mum, who is this?" Luke asked as he looked between his mother and the Doctor.
Before Sarah-Jane could answer The Doctor smiled widely at Luke as he said, I'm The Doctor."
"Doctor who?" Maria asked standing next to Luke.
"Just, The Doctor," Sarah-Jane answered Maria's question with a laugh as she remembered how many times, they had to have the same conversation through their adventures.
"Wait, did you say mum?" The Doctor questioned Luke.
"Yup, I'm Luke Smith Sarah-Jane's son," Luke answered The Doctor not noticing The Doctor's face fall.
"It couldn't have been that long since I last visited could it?" The Doctor asked himself.
"Don't worry Doctor it has only been a few months since your last visit, I adopted Luke," Sarah-Jane said reassuring The Doctor knowing how he feels about always visiting her about every few months.
The Doctor smiled in relief and the fact that he always knew that Sarah-Jane Smith would make a fantastic mother.
"Can you introduce yourselves so we can get started," Donna's voice cut through the conversation. The Doctor, Sarah-Jane and Luke glanced at the group grinning sheepishly.
"My name is Sarah-Jane Smith, this is my adopted son, Luke Smith and his two best friends, Clyde Langer and Maria Jackson," Sarah-Jane introduced her team indicating to Luke and Clyde as she introduced them.
Everybody turned to look at The Doctor as he was the only one left who had yet to introduce himself.
"I'm The Doctor," The Doctor announced like it was the most normal name in the room.
Sarah-Jane shook her head at the ninth doctor's antics.
"You're not The Doctor!" Donna, Martha, Amy, Rory and Clara yelled out at the same time making everyone look at the group in amusement whilst the Doctor at them confused as to why they didn't think he was The Doctor if they had met him.
"What do you mean I'm not The Doctor?" The Doctor questioned the group.
"The Doctor's a tall, scrawny, pretty boy," Donna said scowling at what she thought was an imposter.
"No, The Doctor's shorter than me, quite lean and looks old enough to still be in school," Rory argues and as they describe two different men being The Doctor it clicks that they travelled with him in different regenerations.
"I am The Doctor and you will see why you are describing two other men being The Doctor through my life," The Doctor states not wanting to share any spoilers.
"How can three different men be The Doctor?" Martha asks.
"Spoilers," is the only answer The Doctor gives as he walks past everyone taking a seat on one of the beanbags.
Getting the message everyone takes a seat.
Rose sits on one of the couches between her mother and Mickey.
Captain Jack throws himself down on one of the beanbags next to The Doctor.
Tish sits on another couch in between her parents as Martha and Leo sit on beanbags in front of the couch wanting to be close to their family.
Donna sat on the third couch along with her mother and grandfather.
Amy and Rory both sat on beanbags but put them close enough for Rory to put his arm around Amy.
Clara threw herself down on the beanbag that was on The Doctor's other side.
Sarah-Jane, Clyde and Maria sat on the last couch whilst Luke sat on the arm of the couch next to Maria. Maria sent Luke a small smile which Luke returned. Sarah-Jane caught the smiles on their faces and knew that they both felt the same way about each other.
In a flash of green light, a remote control appeared at the side of Captain Jack and the TV turned on.
On the screen the words Doctor who appeared written inside of an orange oval on a blue background.
The Doctor snorted at the irony of the words Doctor who appearing on screen as that is the most frequent question that he has been asked.
"Is everybody ready for the show to begin," Captain Jack asked as he picked the remote control up.
Once everybody answered in the affirmative Jack pressed play and the screen turned black. Everybody waited in anticipation for the show to begin.
