Captain Needs a New Pair of Boots
A/N Drabble inspired by a LOTR challenge. Elements were boot, cobbler, staircase and the word antique.
"Damn it, Jim, I'm a doctor – not a cobbler!"
"Calm down, Bones. It's the same principle, isn't it? All I need is my boot mended. Sewing is sewing, isn't it?"
"Stitches haven't been sewn by hand since the ancient days! And saying that stitching a wound is the same as mending a boot is like saying a transporter is the same as a staircase!"
"But I thought you hated transporters, Bones?"
"That's not the point! The point is that if you want your boot mended instead of getting a new one from Stores, you'll have to find yourself a shoemaker."
