Uh, Jake, I don't know about you, but we're in a bit of a pickle, said Cassie.
Hee hee, pickle… giggled Marco.
Marco! shouted Rachel.
Polo! replied Marco.
Marco. We're on a mission, not Comedy Central. Focus! I yelled in thought-speak.
Sorry, said Marco.
Now, what were you saying Cassie? I asked.
I said, we're in a bit of a pickle. Don't even think about it, Marco, she added.
If Marco wasn't in morph he probably would have smiled.
What is the situation, Prince Jake? asked Ax.
I dunno. Cassie? I said.
Well, we have the Blade Ship in plain view, and we have it cornered, but… she stopped.
But what, Cassie? I asked.
It's in front of this cave. The Blade Ship is way too big to make it in the cave but… She paused again.
Stop with the 'buts' already! Tell us what's going on! yelled Rachel.
Here comes Xena, Warrior Princess. Marco said sarcastically.
I think what she's trying to say is that there are these weird-looking creatures trying to pull the Blade Ship into that cave. said Tobias.
He'd been mostly silent until now. Then, the things amazingly pulled the Blade Ship through the obviously-too-small-for-the-Blade-Ship cave.
Correction, said Tobias. They've succeeded in pulling the Blade Ship into that cave.
How did they do that? cried Marco.
The same way you fit 3 hamburgers in your mouth, Marco, said Rachel.
Hunger? asked Marco.
Yes, in a way. said Ax.
We all looked at him, confused.
They are not hungry for food, Ax explained, but for knowledge. I presume these mutated people have some kind of super strength to help them collect objects to examine. But, this is just a guess.
