Enjoy!
There'd been so much work to do this week.
Piles of paperwork, dungeons to clear, and staff meetings every single day.
I hadn't had a moment of free time, and I'd only been getting just barely enough sleep.
Even today, at the end of the week, I still had a pile of paperwork left to do.
I may be a workaholic, but even I had my limits.
I was tired.
I just wanted to go take a nap!
But I had work to do.
So I couldn't.
I sighed as I finished filling out a paper and then grabbed another one off of the pile. I'd been doing that for... how many hours now? I think the time was... midday? Evening? All I knew was that it was still light out.
I glared at the paper in front of me.
My head was starting to hurt.
"I... need a break." I muttered, standing up. "Just... a short one." Leaving my desk for the first time in hours, I went and made some tea before taking a seat on the couch.
Uni had been helping me out, of course, but even with her help... it was all still a mess.
I took a sip of my tea, momentarily relaxing as I did so.
Five minutes and I'd get back to work.
What I really wanted to do was to get some sleep, but I wasn't about to take a nap.
Instead, I just rested my eyes for a moment after setting my cup of tea down on the table.
That's really... all I did.
When I opened my eyes, I felt a bit more relaxed, and sleepy, than I did earlier. I yawned, sitting up, the blanket over me falling into my lap.
Huh?
Sitting up? Blanket?
Had I... fallen asleep!?
No, no, no! All I did was close my eyes!
But, taking a look around, I saw that it had gotten dark outside.
So I really had fallen asleep...
Then, this blanket...? Was it Uni?
As if in answer, I caught sight of Uni at my desk.
Standing up, I walked over to her, and saw that she had fallen asleep at the desk. The pile of unfinished paperwork was gone, and the last paper, that Uni's head was lying on, had been filled out.
Uni...
Did she finish her work and then come finish mine?
Hyaaa... What kind of sister am I, to make my little sis do all the work!?
But... I was really... impressed.
My little sister is a really hard worker.
I picked Uni up and carried her to the couch, gently lying her down and covering her up with the blanket she'd gotten for me. I smiled at her, bent down, and kissed her on the cheek.
"Thank you, Uni."
I was proud of her.
