So I pretty much wrote this in my head at work, and then I finished season seven and found a place for it. I don't care if this has been done before.
Eleven remembering Rose.
The Ponds introduced many things to the Doctor during his stay with them. Out of all of the things he discovered, he had taken a keen liking to video games. He spent most of the day playing WII Tennis or games of similar nature, or watching the cubes.
One night, he spent most of the evening watching the cubes; when he was done, he wanted to unwind by playing some more WII games. To his dismay, Amy and Rory had already taken it for themselves. They were watching the Harry Potter films, which the Doctor had always enjoyed. He never got around to seeing the movies, but he did have a few of the books in his possession – somewhere.
And so he sat down to watch them with them. They were finishing up the seventh film as he made himself comfortable. They popped in the eighth film, and the Doctor immediately became engrossed in the film.
Throughout its entirety, he was enjoying how vivid everything was, and the scenery passing by as it was written in the book. He didn't even realize some parts were missing he was so absorbed.
And then came Snape's memories.
After that scene, he slumped back in his chair. Amy glanced over and saw his expression changed. When the Doctor noticed her looking over, he tried to make himself seem as enthralled as before. When the movie ended soon after, he dismissed himself and went into the TARDIS for the remainder of the evening.
A few hours had passed, and Amy was getting worried about the Doctor. She knocked in the TARDIS door a few times, and heard a muffled 'come in', and she stepped inside. She looked around the giant room for a moment, and couldn't see him anywhere.
"Doctor?" She questioned.
"Over here," His voice called from behind the mechanics in the center.
She hopped up the ramp and walked around to find the Doctor staring at a screen. There was the image of a blond woman, with a very defined face. Amy looked up at the doctor and saw that his eyes were a bit pink, and her face went concerned.
"Doctor, are you all right?" She asked.
No response.
And then it hit her.
She leaned in closer and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Is this her, Doctor?"
The Doctor was silent for a few moments. He took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I promised her mother I would keep her safe." He said, letting a tear slip from his eye.
He sniffed back and wiped it from his face, placing his long fingers on the image.
"Now she's living out the life she had always dreamed, while I..." He pulled away and turned his back to Amy.
She glanced back down at the screen. She heard small sobs escaping from the Doctor's mouth, and his head and shoulders started to hang down.
"You still love her...even after all this time?" Amy said softly to the screen.
"Always."
