Derek looked at Penelope with all the love he felt shining in his eyes. He was happy that he finally had the chance to tell his Goddess how he felt. The only problem was he couldn't seem to get his mouth to work.
Penelope raised an eyebrow at her Chocolate God. "Are you just going to stand there and stare at me or are you going to talk?"
Derek finally laughed and then he took in a deep breath. "I want you to hear me out Mama before you say anything. You're always in my heart. I love you and I love everything about you. Anytime I saw you with Lynch my heart broke and it broke over and over again because of seeing you with him. You're the only one for me Penelope. I have loved you for so long but I always thought that I wasn't good enough for you. Now I don't care if I am or not. I just know that I need you so that I can keep on breathing and living. That's how strong my love is for you. When you hurt I hurt. When you're angry I'm angry. When you're happy I'm happy. I love you Penelope Garcia and I need you to be mine. Will you give me a chance? Will you give us a chance?"
Penelope's heart had started beating rapidly as she listened to Derek's speech. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. But yet as she looked at her Chocolate God she knew without a doubt that what he was saying was the absolute truth. She couldn't deny him because denying him would be denying herself and she couldn't do that. She may have dated Kevin Lynch but she never loved him. How could she love him when her heart has always belonged to Derek and always would belong to Derek? She knew now that she would never get over Derek and if she was honest with herself she didn't want to get over him.
She smiled at Derek. "I love you too Derek Morgan. I'm pretty sure I fell in love with you the first time I meant you. I can still remember you calling me Baby Girl. I don't want anyone but you Derek. Yes, I dated Kevin Lynch but I never loved him. After all you have always had my heart. Yes, I will give you a chance. Yes, I will most definitely give us a chance. You are my life my Chocolate God and without you I would not be the woman I am today."
Derek let the grin break loose on his face and then he pulled Penelope into him and bent his head. The kiss he gave her started out tenderly but it soon blossomed into something more.
