Webber's Quest
Chapter 1
A portal opened, a noise was heard, and a shape was cast out into a strange world. This shape stood up and brushed off his shoulders, four long shapes unfolded from its head, six eyes opened and took in its surroundings. Grassland went on for as long as it's eyes could see, strange rodents scampered away from it and into holes dug in the ground. Standing in the middle of nowhere, the figure took inventory; spider egg sacs and monster meat. Suddenly a white arrow appeared in the sky, "Follow it…." a voice whispered to it.
As the figure followed the magic arrow, he came upon what seemed to be a dirt path, luckily the arrow sent the figure racing up the path with a noticeable increase in speed. The figure ran up the path for what seemed like hours, the arrow came to a sudden stop in the sky, so the figure started to collect sticks, rocks and pieces of flint lying around. Tying the rocks to a stick created a makeshift axe, moving to a nearby pine tree. The figure swung the axe with great force many times, until the tree came crashing down before separating into 4 logs and 2 pinecones.
Picking up the logs and pinecones, the figure went around the area to see what it could scrounge up. Using logs and grass to create a small campfire, the figure settled down for the night, but before he could sleep something happened. "Put the egg sack down before night falls" the voice in his head said, 'why' he tried to say but the only sound that came out was a deep viola notes. Suddenly with a loud whooshing noise sounded from the portal area… as he looked up at the sky, he thought 'there is still time time before night… ' He took off at max speed back to the portal, when he arrived he saw a beautiful girl laying on the ground.
