Why don't I ever listen to what my heart says
How come I choose to listen to my head instead

My heart it yelled, "just go!"
My head disagreed wholeheartedly
It screamed instead "no! No! NO!"
I regret everything I said that night
Everything you said I know was right
I learned a lesson from this
Listen to my heart
If you ever read this know
I hope we can get a new start
You told me you loved me and I loved you too
This phrase left unspoken
Just know that it's true
Forever I'll remember your face and your voice
I know to this day that I made the wrong choice
I hope in your heart you still love me too
One day I'll admit my feelings to you
I'll listen to my heart instead of my head
No longer will I cry when I'm lying in bed
I'll wrap my arms around you and hold you close and tight
As long as we're together everything will be alright
It's time for me to go now so goodbye but not forever
I'll dream and dream of the day when we'll once again be together
