Important: You might notice that chapter 1 Eve's friends names have changes that is due to some issues in my personal life, after chapter one it changes back to the Jackie, sarah and lexi but it does change again so don't get to confused, Jackie is now Kim, and Sarah is now Rebeca
Chapter 1. Eve pov
We finally unpacked the last of the boxes I had brought over from Kim and Josh's, I was finally officially living with Leah in La Push. If you're wondering what happened with my friends, they tried begging me to stay but eventually I had to tell them that I had to move because of the family thing, they stopped after that thank god.
My room wasn't as small as I thought it would be, it was the same as my old one with a few extra perks; window seat, down the hall from Leah's room, en suite and no girly clothes such as a dress or skirts allowed. It's a Pack rule, something about a mishap when Emily (stepmother/second cousin) got Leah in a dress and then there was a Pack emergency and Leah got tangled in it, I laughed for a long time before I was thrown in mud and had to have a shower.
"What you think?" Leah strolled in and leant against the door frame.
"It's brilliant."
"Come on Billy is having a bonfire and both packs will be there.
"Sure I have to make a quick stop somewhere so I'll meet you over there."
She gave me a questionable look but I waved her out of the room. I watched from my window as she run into the forest before disappearing, I grabbed my bag before heading to the front door which started banging loudly. I opened it to see the evil smiling faces of my friends.
"What are you guys doing here? How did you even know where to go?"
"We asked Kim and Josh."
"And we're here to take you out shopping, you burnt all your dresses and skirts so we're going to buy you knew ones." Kim and Rebeca grabbed my arms and started trying to pull me out of the house, which failed of course, I was much stronger than they are so I just stood there.
"I wish I could come but I'm having a Barbeque with Jakes family and I don't wear dresses or skirts anymore." I lied.
"Then we can come with you, meet them." Lexi seems over exited with that idea.
"I don't know, I mean there might not be enough food." I knew that was a lie, there is always enough food when the packs are around.
"So? At least let us drive you over there."
"Let me just call him first."
"Fine."
I let them in and told them to wait in the living room as I went into the kitchen and dialled Jakes number.
"Hello beautiful where are you? Leah just arrived saying you had to stop somewhere?"
"I was going to but my friends just showed up and now they want to drive me to yours and stay for the BBQ."
"The more the merrier."
"Two problem."
"What are they?"
"I've only been to your house through the forest, I have no idea how to get there using the roads, tell you the other problem when I get there."
"Oh yeah, umm how about I come over and you can follow me back?"
"Sounds good to me."
"Sure see you soon."
I hung up and leant against the kitchen bench before turning as I heard someone clear their throat.
"You ready to go?"
"Yeah Jakes dad said it was fine."
"Why have you only been to his house through the forest?"
"Umm… everyone around here is super fit so we walk everywhere." Thinking quickly, it wasn't so much of a lie, most people around La push do walk everywhere, just not in human form.
"Alright so we ready to go? Did you get directions from him?"
"Yeah let's go."
We headed out the door and piled into Kim's car, I looked around in the forest and saw Jake standing in his wolf form ready and waiting, I shot him a wink and I saw his body shake while he chuckled.
"What are you looking at?"
"I thought I saw something cute and fluffy."
"Okay then? So which way?"
"Go straight ahead."
The car started moving and I watched Jake from the corner of my eye.
After three minutes of driving we arrived at Jacobs's house and Leah came out the front door to greet us.
"Hello girls, nice of you to join us." She hugged me and introduced herself to the others.
"Nice to finally officially meet the random stranger who got slapped in the face with my school book." Kim said shaking hands with Leah.
"Which reminds me." Leah slapped the back of my head hard.
"Ow what was that for?!"
The girls laughed and I scowled at Leah.
"Hey bitch don't abuse my girlfriend!"
I turned and saw Jake jogging out of the forest slightly shaking off his body shift.
"What you gonna do about it?"
"This." Jake tackled Leah scooping her up and running towards the small creek just behind his house.
"Bad idea Jacob, you know she will beat your ass."
Billy rolled out of the front door grinning.
"Hey Billy these are my friend Kim, Rebeca and Lexi, girls this is Jacobs dad Billy." I lent down and hugged him.
"The rest of us are around the back why don't you walk around." He grinned nodding the girls.
From behind the house there was a shout and then a round of laughter.
"I think Leah just went for a swim.'
We walked around the back to see Leah sitting in the creek, glaring up at Jacob shaking. I wasn't too worried about Leah exploding the whole pack was here.
"Leah take a chill pill." I laughed walking over to the edge of the creek and helping her out.
She stopped shaking and fixed up her singlet top and shorts, we all walked over to the small fire and everyone else.
"Hey these are my friends Lexi, Kim and Rebeca." Everyone sat down.
Jacob put his arm around me and whispered in my ear.
"So what was the other problem?"
"Billy is going to start telling stories about the Quileute legends, the girls don't know about them."
"Hey like you said, their just legends." He chuckled and winked at me.
"Yeah little niece, their just stories." Seth lent down from his chair.
"Shut up Uncle Oldie." I giggled, it into uncontrollable giggled when both of them started tickling me.
"Hey no fair! Mum tell them to stop!" I shouted before everyone froze and I slapped my hand over my mouth.
"Mum?" Rebeca looked at me questionably.
"Umm yeah, Emily! We called Emily mum sometimes because she looks after us and is so loving." I covered my mistake by standing up, walking over to Emily and plopping myself in her lap and hugging her.
"Isn't that right guys?"
"Yeah Emily like a wolves mother!" Quil shouted.
"Amen to that!" I laughed, hugged Emily and before walking back to Jacob and snuggling into his warmth.
"Are we finished?" Billy chuckled.
"Yeah you can continue." I grinned.
Billy began to speak about Taha Aki, was the last Great Spirit chiefs and one of the first shape-shifters. I think he is awesome, along with his third wife who sacrificed herself to save her son from the 'cold ones.' Which is what we call Vampires. As Billy spoke about our history I watched my friend's faces as they listened intently. Billy finished and the first thing said was from one of my best friends and I had to face palm.
"Okay you guys have the coolest history known to man, how cool would it be if these legends where actually real? And the Cold ones and the Shape-shifters were actually real and you were all one of them." Lexi pointed at all over us besides Billy, Sue, Emily, Leah and I.
"Haha if only hey boys?" Jacob let out a booming laugh, followed by the rest of us.
"Okay so serious question and I feel dumb for not noticing sooner but you all have the same tattoo on your right arm, all off you besides, Billy, sue, Emily and little Claire." Rebeca said pointing at us.
"Yeah, wait why? Eve you got it after you had that huge family thing finding out your adopted."
"Wait is this a fucking cult?" Kim jumped up out of her chair.
"Kim, calm down." I stood up and walked towards her.
"You got a fucking tattoo after you meet these people Eve!"
"Kim snap out of it!"
"Look girls, the tattoo is a tribal thing, the kids have them because it's a every second generation kind of thing." Sam stood up.
"Do you remember the legends? What they said about the different generation having different symbols, well this is our generations and its sort of a tradition that every second generation get it tattooed in the same place." I made up a crazy thing and everyone nodded frantically.
"That is insane."
"Family and traditions are insane."
The girls left the topic alone after that and we started cooking the food. It was nine O'clock when my ears perked to the sound of a speeding car heading our way from the high way, I looked at the others and noticed they head it too.
Sam lent over and whispered in something in Billy's ear who nodded and gestured to Jacob to go over, I nodded and he got up and walked over. They talked in hushed tone but loud enough for the packs to hear. I tried listening but was distracted.
"What is going on?" Kim, Rebeca and Lexi stepped in front of me with crossed arms.
"Look I'm still trying to adjust to this life, I don't really know a lot but I'm happy, can you just accept that?" I looked with pleading eyes.
"If your happy then…" Kim looked at the other two and they nodded.
"Then we're happy."
I smiled and then frowned, the air had a sickening sweet smell at that could only really mean one of two things. Either someone put on some really strong perfume or, there was a vampire or vampires somewhere close by.
I focused back into the convocation Sam, Jacob and Billy were having.
"It isn't any of the Cullen family."
"Are you sure?"
"I spent a lot of time there when Bella was pregnant, I'm sure."
"What are we going to do? We can't all just leave at the same time or Eve's friends will get suspicious."
"Girls I'll be right back." I got up and walked over to the three males leaning on the two that where standing.
"I think it's time I get the girls to drive me home and I have a feeling Sam doesn't want me in any of the action so I'll run to the Cullen's house and find out what is happening."
"I think that's a good idea." Billy nodded.
"I'll meet you guys later." I kissed Jacob's cheek before heading back to the girls.
"You guys ready to leave?"
"Yep."
