Here's my second Spider Rider fanfic. It's a lot shorter that my first but I hope you'll like it.
(BTW I hope you'll forgive me for making Sparkle a little OOC)
Through the halls of Arachna Castle, Prince Lumen was wandering around wating for the others to arrive back from patrol. He stopped when he made it to the main hall and let out of long sigh. "I wonder whats keeping them?" He wondered.
Soon after, the door opened and Hunter, Corona, Igneous and Magma entered. "It's about time." Lumen told them. "I expected you back here earlier."
"We're sorry, Your Highness." Igneous began. "We would have been back ages ago but we had to rescue Hunter from a ditch." He glared at Hunter. "I told you that it wasn't my fault!" Hunter blurted out. "Yeah, right." Magma smirked. "It wouldn't have happened if you hadn't been staring at Corona the whole time!" Hunter pulled a miserable face and sat down. Suddenly, loud footsteps were heard from outside sounding like an earthquake.
Hunter and Lumen's eyes widened and they looked at each other, Corona looked blank and Igneous and Magma just stared into space. "It sounds like it's coming from outside the door!" Hunter exclaimed. "What could it be?" Lumen asked, in a nervous tone.
Everyone jumped as the door flung open to reveal Princess Sparkle looking angry. She marched in and glared.
"How could you?!" She yelled, looking directly at Hunter, who jumped up and scurried back a few steps. "How could I what?" Hunter asked.
"Why did you leave me behind yesterday?!" Sparkle yelled, even louder.
Lumen stood up and tried to intervene. "Sparkle, there's no reason to be upset about it." he said reasonably. "Yes, Hunter did leave you behind because he though it wouldn't be safe for you. Its not as if you were gonna be in the way-"
"I don't care!" Sparkle was screeching now. "He was supposed to look out for me. And another thing, you're my brother and you're supposed to know what's best for me, right?!"
Lumen stiffened at these words. "Am I supposed to order you about all the time?! Of course not! You're my little sister!"
Sparkle gasped. Lumen had never spoken to her like that before. She opened her mouth to yell something else; she wasn't quite sure what, but it was going to be harsh, and then looked even more shocked. No sound was coming out of her mouth.
She tried again, holding her throat. "Ah, ah, ah," she said. "Sparkle, are you alright?" Lumen was staring at her, concerned.
"She's lost her voice." Magma spoke, in a hushed tone. Lumen turned pale with despair, Igneous was crying and Corona was the picture of distress. Hunter just shrugged and said "Well this is a complete disaster."
Hearing this, Sparkle gave a little whimper. She was seated, her head in her hands, as the others hovered around her. "Sparkle, can I...uh...get you anything?" Corona asked, nervously. Sparkle shook her head. "What should we do now?" asked Magma. "Let's eat!" Hunter declared holding his hand above his head. "Good idea!" Agreed Igneous. They both clapped their hands with glee. Then Sparkle started whimpering again. They turned to look at her and Sparkle saw the truth in her eyes. They had immediatly forgotten about what had happened. Sparkle bowed her head and a tear slowly rolled down her cheek. Lumen sat down next to her and put a comforting arm around her. "Please don't cry, Sparkle." he spoke. Sparkle looked at him in wonder. "Your voice will come back eventually, or maybe in a week or two."
"Ah.." Sparkle's attempt at a scream came out as little more than a gasp. She then mouthed the words "a week?" in shock. She then turned around and shrugged her shoulders as if to say "Oh, well."
Yeeeah, I left it at a cliffhanger. I may add another chapter...
