Hi guys. It seems as though I had forgotten about this book for nearly two years. I'd just like to apologize to the people who actually read this story and who are still hanging onto some form of hope that I might update soon (I wouldn't be surprised if there was no one).
The main reason why I'm writing this is because I was going to update this book with a new chapter (yay) but I made a mistake. I uploaded chapter six and replaced chapter one. After nearly ripping out my hair I have started RE writing the first chapter. I am once again very sorry for all of this.
I hope you enjoy the mess that is this book.
P.S. this chapter may be a little short considering the fact that I attempted to write it in less than a day.

Running.
That's all I've been able to do these past few weeks; and right now, I'm doing exactly that.
Stumbling behind me were five of those un-dead monsters. They just wouldn't let up. I tried losing them but somehow they just kept finding me.
After running for what seemed like hours, I come across a rather sturdy looking tree and climb to the highest branch. It wasn't easy but I managed to get up there unharmed.
Slowly, the geeks surround the trunk of the tree leaving me trapped. I take out my gun from my belt and count the bullets. Three left. It was obvious that this couldn't end well.
I decide that my only option is to take down as many as I can and run. I slowly climb down the first two branches of the tree and aim for the first geek. I pulled the trigger and watched as the bullet shot through the dead woman's skull. I aim for the next one and shoot again but miss, hitting it's shoulder. I grit my teeth and try once more, successfully hitting between the eyes. I feel pretty proud of myself until I realize there are still three more of them below me. I decide to make a run for it. There's no point in waiting around for them to give up.
I jump down and start running as fast as I can. But it doesn't take long for them to come after me. I weave in and out of the trees in an attempt to shake them off. I finally lose sight of them after running for miles.
I slow down to a steady walk and continue looking for somewhere to stay for the night. Not long after, I stumble across a clearing where the trees meet the road. Upon further inspection I notice an RV parked not too far from where I'm standing. All of a sudden something runs out from behind the vehicle. Either my eyes are fucking with me or that actually looked like a living person.
Before I could comprehend anything I was roughly shoved to the ground. A dirty man hovered above me, holding a knife to my throat. "Who the hell are you?" He growled.
"L-Lila Morris." I choke out. "Please, I'm not looking for trouble."
"Well that's too bad, princess," the man smirked, "you've already found it."
He forcefully yanks my arm and pulls me off the ground before dragging me through the clearing towards a small group pf people.
"Where's Rick?" He demands.
"Right here." A voice calls out from behind us.
I'm spun around and facing a rather tall man in a Sheriff's uniform.
"Says her name's Lila." The man's grip on my arm tightened. "Caught her spyin' on the camp over by the woods."
"I wasn't-"
"Enough!" 'Rick' ordered. "Why are you here?"
I couldn't speak. I was too scared to move.
"Daryl let her go she's frightened." Rick commanded. He obeyed and dropped my arm, leaving red marks where his nails dug in.
"Now, Lila, will you tell me why you're here?" I looked around and noticed that everyone's eyes were on me. But who can blame them? I mean, I too would be terrified if a stranger walked in on the only safety I have.
"I swear I wasn't spying on you." I responded in defense. "I was trying to escape one of those geeks and found my way here."
"You led one of those things here?" Daryl growled. "I might as well just kill you now."
"That's enough, Daryl." Rick barked. "Go help Carol clean up."
Daryl mumbled something under his breath. It was mostly inaudible but I'm pretty sure there were some curse words thrown around.
"You got a group?" Rick questioned. I shook my head and he sighed. "Well I can't have you wandering around in the dark with those walkers after you."
"I'm pretty sure I can look after myself." I retort.
He shakes his head. "I can offer you food, water, a place to sleep. All i need from you is your weapons." I think for a moment and look over towards their group. There are people laughing and children playing. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
I turn back to Rick and reluctantly take out my gun. I hand it to him and he gives a nod of thanks.
"You won't regret this." He smiles.
