Father's Day:
Zuko walked in the small apartment he shared with his uncle. "How was you date, Prince Zuko?" Iroh smiled at his nephew.
The banished prince slammed his door shut making his uncle flinch. Seconds later the door opened slowly and Zuko answered his uncle, "It was nice." And closed the door again.
Iroh continued to smile. He was glad to spend this calm moments with Zuko. When Zuko didn't care about capturing the avatar all the time was a nice change in his life. He sighed. Living a normal life will do good for Zuko, he thought.
He finished cleaning up and went to bed. Iroh had a wonderful dream full of tea. And in fact woke up to the smell of tea. "Zuko?" he said sleepily.
"Good morning, uncle." Zuko smiled. "I made you tea."
"How nice of you." he took the cup that Zuko offered him.
"Uncle?"
"hm?"
"I was wondering if we could do something today?"
"Like what, Prince Zuko?" He sipped his tea. At first he was nervous but it seems Zuko has improved on his tea making.
"Like…maybe a picnic?"
"That would be wondering, what's the occasion?" He wondered.
"Well, its father's day." Zuko looked down.
Iroh didn't respond with words. He was happy. No. The General was overjoyed that Zuko would be willing to spend a day like this with him. For a long time Iroh never thought he would be able to spend farther-son moments with someone.
Zuko left to prepare for the day. Iroh offered to help but Zuko refused. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind." Iroh smiled as he packed up a small Pai Sho board in a bag.
"Are you ready, Uncle?" Zuko asked as he entered with a basket full of goodies.
"Yes, lets go." He jumped up, "I know the perfect spot." Iroh led Zuko to a park like area on hill. It was the perfect spot to watch the sun set.
The two laughed, ate, and played a few rounds of Pai Sho. Iroh even allowed Zuko to win once. Soon the sun was gone and the moon lit the sky. They packed everything up and stood. "Uncle?"
"Yes, Prince Zuko?"
"This was fun." he smiled and Iroh smiled back.
