I know some stuff, because I'm not one of those people who walks into comms and stuff and then bursts into flame and runs around screaming 'ZOMG SPOILERS!1!'. But since I can't be bothered to check out the manga and catch up on the... 80 some? chapters I've missed, I'm not going to try to pretend to do them. So no... no Karin, even though I'm getting Sakura!redux vibes from the little I know. Onto the ficcage!

15 Fragments of Yuuhi Kurenai

Hip:

The first meeting of Team 8, she stood there for a good five minutes with a hand on her hip wondering how on earth she was supposed to be of any use teaching a trio of trackers.

Cheek:

The heat of her blush spread over her cheeks before she could stop it. She really shouldn't have allowed him to rattle her, even if he is the Copy-nin, even if Asuma was as red as she was.

Eyes:

Men are easy. There are lechers, and there are closet lechers.The only difference is how long it takes to finish the job. The former take their time examining the display, the latter overcompensate the quick glance down her body by looking her straight in the eyes. The closet lechers make easier marks.

Neck:

Much as she likes Shino, seeing the kikaichu crawling out of his skin still makes the back of her neck prickle.

Chest:

Something in her chest flutters when she watches her team as they change and grow. She's the sexy big sister type. Never forget it.

Hands:

She sees Asuma up there when she is protecting Hinata; he hasn't moved, hasn't changed expression.Her hands tighten into fists and she stomps down the urge to slap him for not being a decent human being. Neji is under control and Hinata is alive for the moment. That's all that matters.

Veins:

Kurenai, you're late. Hoshigaki drew first blood because she couldn't help the ice piercing through her veins when Uchiha Itachi met her gaze.

Lips:

Kurenai doesn't ask how Hinata noticed where she bit through her lip. She thanks her for the balm and compliments her on noticing the cut despite her lipstick. Hinata's smile practically glows.

Tongue:

She lost all use of her tongue when Naruto beat Kiba during the Chuunin Exam. It remained glued to the roof of her mouth until she unstuck it to tell the blonde idiot to just take the medicine.

Muscle:

She hadn't realized all her muscles were tensed to attack until after the conversation with Hiashi was done. She promised herself she would prove him wrong about his daughter.

Back:

She stands before the Hokage, resolute and confident, back to Umino Iruka, and says very clearly that she is nominating the whole of Team 8 to take the Chuunin Selection Exam.

Throat:

She has to swallow her protests as Hinata refuses to surrender to her cousin, even though it is killing her to watch this. But there is pride hovering at the back of her throat too.

Hair:

The scent of smoke lingers in her hair and clothes; sharp, acrid. She's too strong for that to make her cry more than once.

Finger:

The ring on her finger is a promise. And Kurenai is a woman of her word.

Eyelids:

She does her make up carefully, brushing the powder evenly over her eyelids. If they're going to go, they may as well get to look at something pretty before the illusion takes over.
