I was spending this Christmas alone.

He had left me, and I was completely heart broken.

"Roxas, where are you going?"

"Namine, I'm sorry. It's over."

"Roxas, please!"

"I have to go back to Olette. She needs me more than you do."

"No! Roxas!"

"goodbye, Namine."

"ROXAS!"

So much pain.

So much misery.

Until he arrived.

I watched the flames rise, fall, and dance in the fire place, thinking of every time we had been together.

Then I heard the door bell ring.

I got up to answer it, just to notice that someone had just fallen into the snow.

His hair silver, his skin pale. His eyes closed.

At that moment, I knew he was about to die.

"RIKU!!!!"

Although all I was wearing was a long white dress, I ran into the snow to retrieve his

body.

His skin was so cold. His lips were blue.

No.

I slung his arm over my shoulder, and slowly brought him into the house.

I laid his body by the fireplace, and laid a blanket over his body.

He still looked like he was going to die.

But I couldn't decide whether or not he would die tonight….

He can't die…..not on Christmas…..

But, again, I couldn't decide that. So, I walked around my house, to wait for him to wake up.

Then my feet guided me to the front door.

I walked onto the porch, and felt something under my feet, and it wasn't snow.

It was a letter.

I picked it up, and read the envelope:

To my princess, Namine, from the fantasy peasant, Riku.

With that being written, I ripped the letter open in a flash.

The words brought tears to my eyes.

My dearest love, Namine

I have wanted to always say this to you, but fear, and worry, always wrapped up my words.

But not this time. This time I will tell you.

You are a single star in an eternal sky, a shining light, in a sea of darkness, an only truth, in a world of lies.

You are the wings that lift my heart, when I am lost in sorrow.

You are that single voice that can drown out so many others.

You are my only love in a world of hatred.

I love you.

Riku.

Tears flooded my eyes, and dropped onto the letter.

This had completely convinced me.

He couldn't die.

I wouldn't let him.

I walked boldly to where he was laying.

"Riku.." I whispered to him.

I leaned into his body.

"I love you too."

With that, the gap that had separated our lips for so long, was finally destroyed.
