The voice of the Wood became but a faint and distant memory when the Viera found solace in the skies. The call of the open air soothed her restless heart and she heeded its fluid whispers – the secrets of all Ivalice carried to her on gilded wings. She fled to it in private, though always she returned to the Wood and her peace-seeking brethren. Yet still she yearned for the unbridled freedom, the chance to live apart from the stoicism and suffocating isolation within the Wood.

Ever did this cycle continue late into her adolescent years until the summer before she crossed the threshold into adulthood. It was at this time that Fran the Viera decided to follow the voice of the wind and the yearning within herself – with a little push from a charming, brazen sky pirate who had just earned his wings.
